Dimpy is just a plot point made to create conflict. Doshu and Makhi have done worse things but are now being applauded for supporting MAA.
To logically analyse it,
1. She supported Maaya as she related to her eloping, sexual assault and abandonment by family. At that point just Pakhi was offended.
2. Her doubts on MAA started after CA left and she said "Par ye Sach hai, Choti ignore to hui hai" and agreed with Barkha.
3. She doesn't have a lot to hold on to and has seen that MAA eventually supercedes the demands of HasLee and her three kids over any "outsider" and they either compromise or have to leave. They have even called Anuj an outsider now.
If she leaves she will not be left with any source of income or a place to live, because she understood that Anupamaa will kill time in the DA for a few days and then leave but her +1 Doshu will stay stuck like a leech with his added patriarchy.
4. She is still acknowledging Anuj's help because he was as much a part of helping her as Anupamaa was, minus the bhashans. She rightfully shut Samar up by pointing out the hypocrisy that blood is thicker when it comes to blocking people who have insulted his mother.
Dimple's work, if not done alongside MaAn seperation track, would have been praised by the majority audience who are Shah-haters, but right now she is just a plotpoint for added drama and people are justifying her ex-husband and parents abandoning her.
I didn't like what they did to Dimpy's character because she was the only one apart from Rakhi Dave who was dropping truth bombs, but then I even didn't like what they did to Maaya's character by reducing her to a unidimensional nymphomaniac who has totally forgotten her career and daughter, so who am I to comment.
But all is not lost!!
If this actress doesn't mess with DKP, her role will eventually be toned down and she will become Anupamaa 0.5 where she will do partial sacrifices as compared to 100% like Kinjal.
