Pathaan Has Another Huge Day On Friday

Pathaan set the box office on fire again on Friday with another huge collection as it collected 37.50 crore nett which is a 45% drop from the previous day which was national holiday. There is not much to say as the film beats all expectations and every collections just surpasses every expectation..

The three day business of the film is an insane 160-161 crore nett in Hindi and needless to say it is an ALL TIME RECORD as it beats KGF 2 (Hindi) and Bahubali - The Conclusion (Hindi) with the best original Hindi film Sanju at 119 crore nett.

This sort of drop coming after the holiday is pretty crazy as even a 55% drop would have been very good. The Friday has set up the film for excellent collections over Saturday and Sunday. The UP and Bihar areas which sometimes are less for SRK films are going mad and these sort of numbers have basically never been seen before and only god knows where these will be on Sunday. The film is in the zone of that traditional North Indian film of the bygone era (which actually has to come back) and the collections in mass pockets of UP and Bihar reflect that. Delhi NCR is always strong for SRK and this coupled with mass content for UP the Delhi / UP circuit is just insane.

We have just seen a year or so when we have to try and find collections and here it beomes about sorting out collections and that pretty much sums up the mind boggling numbers of the film and there will be more to come. The three day collections of Pathaan (Hindi) are as follows.

Wednesday - 55,00,00,000 apprx

Thursday - 68,00,00,000 apprx

Friday - 37,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL 1,60,50,00,000 apprx

Yes, because tomorrow is a holiday, it is possible that night shows will be packed.

Insane numbers. Even in overseas it is doing unbelievable business. Overseas friday was $5.5 million(45 cr). We are witnessing Boxoffice History in the making. Saare records tehas nehas kar diye.

Pathaan Going Berserk On Saturday - Targets Another Half Century

Pathaan is going berserk on Saturday as the film targets another half century which would have been unthinkable before the film released, It is only half a day yet but another 50 crore nett day is very much on for the film. It will make it three 50 crore nett days for the film when all the other films put together have only done this three times.

The growth has been huge across the country on Saturday morning and afternoon though it coudl be a little less in the evening as Friday evening saw very strong occupancy. The 50 crore nett number is a headline number for Saturday and hopefully its get there but even if its a crore or two short it hardly makes much difference as the film will well over 200 crore nett in four days and be well over 250 crore nett for the fived day weekend.

If 50 crore nett is breached today then the film could even target 270 or 275 crore nett for the five day weekend. There are no words to describe what is happening at the ground level and the response to this film and long may it continue. Also the film is always surpassing expectations so if it goes over 50 crore nett it will be no surprise.

The Delhi / UP circuit is doing unprecedented business which is huge for the long run of this film as this market sustains well in the long run. Gujarat / Saurashtra another long runner is excellent but not as strong but if this market goes to that unprecedented / extraordinary level on Sunday this film is going to run and run for a very long time.
