Btw, Rubina was always a f o r m e r ISI-agent in the movie... she had quit ISI and was a member of Jim's group... she only pretended to be still one when luring Pathaan into the Russian adventure (which she did on Jim's behalf) - it had been a make-believe-twist. She even later quit Jim's group to work on Pathaan's side when learning about what crime Jim was paid for to commit.

Although the Jhoom song hinted at a (future) love story, there wasn't a real love story in Pathaan.
