Pyarelal ji didn't give constructive feedback to anyone this time. He praised every performance. May be because of his health condition he didn't spend much energy in doing that. He just enjoyed whatever happened there.

Singing wise I thought it was a good weekend but they seriously need to tone down the drama (the Rishi adoption, the Kavya-Chirag affair etc) it was too much!

out of the duets the ones that stood out to me were Kavya-Chirag, Sonakshi-Vineet, Pritam - Srijuti (sorry I think I got her name wrong) and Debosmitha-Vineet too.

I liked everyone's performance this weekend except Navdeep & Shagun.

Best performers for me - Senjuti, Chirag, Kavya, Debosmita, Sonakshi, Vineet.

Would have loved to hear full version of Dard e Dil from Rishi.

So there was some gold medal thing. All 3 judges have 1 gold medal. Don't know if it has any significance in the competition.

Last year the most important feedback he gave was to Nihal - open your mouth wide. That transformed Nihal completely. He already had a good voice and good skills, but once he took this advice he became a complete singer and zoomed into contention for finalist.

9th Oct Pyarelalji special

Pritam & Shagun :- Shanti Om. Being a foot tapping number , it rarely emerges as average… but they managed this feat too.

Shivam & Sonakshi :- Megha re & Daffliwale. Shivam was better than sonakshi in the first song. Overall again, average.

Chirag & Kavya :- kaate nahi katthe.. They did well. Though kavya’s part was easy , she got the feel right. A good rendition by both.

Vineet & Debo :- Woh jab yaad & Sathiyaa nahi jaana. Vineet is always on home ground with soulful Rafi numbers, no surprises. Together, it was a lovely performance, esp the first song.

Wadali & Rupam :- Wadali is just not there. May be lack of confidence or whatever. Just like saturday’s episode, he could hardly be heard. Rupam was just about okayish. Suffice to say that we have heard better versions of Jai Mata Di.
Rishi & Bidipta :- Dard -e-Dil by Rishi & kah do ke tum… Rishi, attempting a song of the golden era, did full justice. Wish he had sung Dard -e-Dil in full. Bidipta has improved. The duet was also rendered v well,

Sanchari & Anushka :- Hawa hawai… v mediocre.

Senjuthi & Sonakshi :- Tere mere beech mein. Senjuthi was awesome. 👌 She has the right techniques, projection,throw, modulation ( like Vineet) and should definitely be a finalist.

Asides:-

* An epi high on drama - The maang bharne ki rasam, haldi kumkum, adoption story, & hard-selling of a non-existent romance … and they ‘ also sang’ I should say.😳

* Why o why should nehu go on a gushing blushing spree just to announce that she has called Rohu? Was she married yesterday?? 😡🙄.

* Now, reg Rishi’s adoption story. No doubt that it is genuine. Respect to the parents too. 🙏 But just set me wondering about the appropriateness of breaking the news to your kid when he has just got selected on a high profile platform. It could be that he knew earlier itself & this thing about the revelation at this juncture may be scripted. Anyways, respect to the family , I may be wrong.

* As pointed out earlier Pyarelalji didnt give any constructive feedback ; at least he should’ve done so for Wadali.

* And finally….Rohu baby’s appearance, though expected was way before his ETA… and this is just the beginning guys. Need to brace ourselves for more gushes, blushes, giggles from nehu darling, 🙄😡

Senjuti is definitely a polished singer as she should be because she has enough experience in terms of everything - age, singing and being part of a reality show. If she stays focused and dedicated here, she can be in Top 3.

Uff! Every time they sing together, even now, when they end the song they are looking into (not just at) each other, and their singing and hand gestures are in perfect sync! They are just too good!

Even in the Pehla Nasha video I posted from the Bangalore concert.
