Someone I used to know used to write “thx” when he was pissed instead of writing out the six letters in thanks. He didn’t do it consciously but i picked up on it over time. So you can imagine my days when I thought everything was going well with my life but a “thx” would pop up on my phone out of nowhere. I even pointed it out to him later on, but he wasn’t about to change and neither was I. 🤷‍♀️

I care even if it’s a stranger. How dare anyone leave me with a dry ‘lol’ and no follow up sentence. At least put a fucking exclamation mark even if you don’t mean it. I’ll sleep better. 😭 Don’t even get me started on the messenger thumbs up response. The only person in this world who’s allowed to do that to me is my mum and people her age + 😆

I’m a text snob, so if you’re going to give me half baked words like tnx and k, then I’ll be wishing them ‘hbd’ instead of a happy birthday coz I be petty.

When you put it that way, I demand thoughtful responses too. Something that wouldn’t make me feel like someone just …. I don’t know, passed out drunk right in the middle of texting me.

It’s very annoying when someone can’t even be arsed to punctuate even if they don’t write out a full sentence. I know exactly what you mean n would like to join that club. 😆

Not at all 😊

Why are you asking this? Did you think I was overthinking in another thread? Or did you see another member overthinking? If it was me who seemed to have been overthinking, was it a typical day for me or I wonder if it was a day I was having a bad day? Or if it was another member you saw was overthinking I wonder if they are always like that or if it was just a single isolated incident? Or is it a pattern you saw with many members where they overanalyzed everything? Why did you even ask this? What will you do with the results?

Join the club and hop onto my bus. We teach the passengers the alphabet so they learn how to spell and punctuate. 🤣

Ditto..I overthink and then scold myself for overthinking..giving justifications for how all is well

But I do realize that it's not a healthy habit. I overthink but I don't think along negative lines if that makes sense. Once my thoughts turn negative, I try to substitute them with positive thoughts. So in a way, I'm self-aware.

That's n art..admiring

Oh I can sit here n overthink myself to mars.

Like my bf was making me understand to take care of my health in a harsh tone n out of anger I did something(now please his motherhen friends have already made me feel miserable about this so don't tell me anything more) so he didn't talk to me yesterday. I went on to think how amazing my time with him has been n now I'll have to leave him behind. Then almost booked my stay for a month to one of my friend's place in another state over thought our time some more listening to Saware from Phantom. Cried myself to sickness n now is admitted in a hospital 15 mins after he came to say its ok he was just angry n I wanted some time to himself.

Hi...from the life of an overthinker.

No when it's about me
