Hi5! Reporters was the last show I watched, after hearing good things about the makers’ previous show EHT, it was good for a while, but there too they messed up the last 20 or so episodes. That’s when I realised that ITV makers just don’t have a proper outline even for limited series, and didn’t venture into tv shows again,

Think about it this way .. if you work hard for a project along with a coworker, the latter gets an award and not you. How do you feel? That's all ... Person like me will feel miserable for sure :)
Correct but when u compare the ML & FL for a particular successful show, both may contribute equally but both may not win awards.
And of course, when it comes to popular awards the role also influences votes. Some roles are naturally more attractive & entertaining for the audience - Ram’s role is one such, some roles are meaningful & layered but not as entertaining for the lay audiences - Priya’s is one such.
In the Indian classical arts there is a term “janaranjak” which means appealing to the mass audience. Ram’s is a janaranjak role, Priya’s is not. I like to think of us as more thinking women, who like & enjoy Priya’s role.
I got what you are saying, but we also don’t know what kind of actors/characters they are competing against, we, as fans of one show are always biased towards the actors from that show.
Don’t quote me on this, I think in S1 time Sakshi got more awards than Ram, not because she was a better actor, but because she had/has loyal fan base due to her typical Mahaan role from her previous show.
I agree with Ritu when she said it is not just about the current role and performance, it is about the fan base that’s formed over a period of time,

See the difference? NM has not only got fanbase but many friends in the industry who openly promotes him for such things as well.
