I got what you are saying, but we also don’t know what kind of actors/characters they are competing against, we, as fans of one show are always biased towards the actors from that show.

Don’t quote me on this, I think in S1 time Sakshi got more awards than Ram, not because she was a better actor, but because she had/has loyal fan base due to her typical Mahaan role from her previous show.

I agree with Ritu when she said it is not just about the current role and performance, it is about the fan base that’s formed over a period of time,

Exactly! NM roles had been limited in comparison to DP but more prominent career wise.

He picks things that appeal to him and not audience. Also he has worked with banners that makes actors popular within a show.

Whereas DP never really went for unique roles until priya in my opinion. Her previous characters were very common for ITV.
