tyler suffered through so much of course he wanted ti be free of klaus and he left caroline as klaus murdered his mother which is fine caroline also had a right to not continue the relationship with him, but problematic was that when caroline slept with klaus stefan and her made tyler out to be the bad guy stefan saying tyler was a dick and he was punched so tyler should get over the fact that caroline slept with his mother's murderer

and everyone's reaction to tyler's death was so bad only matt cared no one else did caroline didnt even cry when he was supposed to be his first serious love its funny when tyler told damon "no one will forgive you"when no one cared

damon openly cared about elena,i felt dalaric werent deep but damon did care about him he was his trustworthy ally and drinking buddy and he trusted ric as much as he trusted elena,and he openly showed his care for bonnie too

I think Damon just cared about Jeremy because if anything went wrong with him, it will adversely and directly affect Elena.
