IT IS THE PRODUCER'S CALL for which singer to use. Pritam is stuck in the middle.

The way the music market is today, producers want the "hottest" vocalist of the moment on their song, so they like to keep 3-4 options ready, because the music is usually ready 6 months before the film is ready, and in that time, trends can change... so if Jubin is lighting up the charts, they will release the Jubin version, or if it's Arijit then him.

Sonu doesn't want to be part of this game. I respect that. But sadly it means he misses out on songs.

agreed to the most of the part but if u watch pritam interview ahead of sonu clip he said with new singers they make them sing in this way "Gaa lee acha na laga to hata denge" ,in same interview pritam said amit mishra also had sung the title song of ae dil hai muskil , so its pritam practise to record the 8 different version of same song and then select one of the version but yeah producers interference is there , there is no independnce for music director to choose singer of their own choice now music labels dictates, now they give songs to only those singers who are in contract with them , sonu has not been in contract with music labels since long now, he was asked to sign a contract in 2013 with T Series which he didn't , that cost him much damage, his new songs were dubbed then by others, now the amount he earn from live concert goes to him only , while the artist who are signed by music label have to pay certain amount from their live shows earning to the music label ,,,,,,,, having said that pritam do make 8 versions of all his songs

Jubin Nautiyal also has a version of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Pritam initially said that it would be available on the soundtrack as a bonus. I would love to hear all versions.

Jubin version is available?.... Jubin is handled too badly by T-series , they give him original songs once in a while , but make him sings cover/remakes every single day
