Hope appu cha entry ne Ashi faltu thoughts nahi yenar pudhe. This house is conservative AF.

They showed it in a comic way but still SAD.

I have seen this is happening in family. Going to

Salon in average middle class is still considered as luxury as it is not cost effective. Specially in such a big joint family where they have cut to cut budget. So it is more about budgeting.

In joint family many times others solved such issues in between rather letting it go To household person. I think it was shown very naturally

Middle class, joint family I get it. But then that's the thing I said. Women should work. By that i don't mean must go to office 9 to 5. But some sort of income be generated.

That's where the victory of jyrg lies. Archu used to try her hand at some business. Vijaya had her exhibition of products. Meghana became a professor.

I hope someday we have shows where it's a true blend of family drama and realistic.

Nowhere am I criticising the show. Just my shock being expressed that these women who work harder than the men (who are mostly sitting or standing outside shashank's room) have to cry or do drama for getting money for themselves for one day.

Its all about the mindset. Some working women are controlled by their husbands too...women need to be taught to manage their finances.

Anjali made a valid point about the women (daughter-in-laws) of the house being educated but non of them earning. They said they're happy doing what they do. But is it really about wanting to be housewifes or the instilled mindset that good indian married women manage the home? Like a good education is just a means to get married into a good house. Afterall, all ambitious or career-oriented women on the show are 'villians'. In fact, there are very few female ambitious or career-oriented women on ITV that are shown in a positve light.
This is why I find Aatya an extremely interesting character. She's no less conservative than the rest but she realises the value of being self-sufficient. I really do hope she continues to work in future.

Discussion about going to salon continued at K house today and Appu called them to confirm salon appointment. Appu threatened to not eat anything if Kanitkar ladies are not allowed to go to the salon.

Bhaskar stopped by with his wife and daughter. His daughter noticed Baabi Aatya's displeasure because of their presence and asked her about it. Bhaskar's wife wanted to talk to Vidya but she asked her to talk to her in front of ll the family members.

Pre cap - Anjali is mad upon learning from Kaushik that th wedding is going to be low key and will take place at their home.

Education plays a big role in taking care of the house... whether it's upbringing of kids, managing finances or supporting your spouse in their career.

@bold- Unfortunately, that is true.

IMO, men look down upon other men who encourage their wife's career and ambitions....as if it's emasculating to do that.

@ bold totally agree.
I would also like to add, men can not stand a competent, skilled, bold woman who takes a stand for herself and tells clearly what is right and wrong. They absolutely do not want to hear that. I myself in my career had experienced it at different levels.

About women’s education, that’s why the saying, when a woman in a family is educated, entire family is educated.

I do not know why, I did not enjoy episode today. Something felt missing.

This. ALL THIS.

Every show we watch has leads who were ambitious mostly before their lagna.

Anjali IS right. Every kanitkar soon is a homemaker, education or not, and obviously not by choice na? Distay tyanche navre kahi Karu shakle naste.

So yes, they're branded as evil vamps if they do ANYTHING WESTERN (Food, drink, clothes or even thought)

Once any soon says apan flat made rahu Ghar vikun even that thought is considered impure( of course vikna selfish ahe). But how dare she break a her husband away from his family (even though she had to leave hers cos "parampara")

Aso, my point is Kanitkars are conservative af under the garb of being "samanya".

I can just hope things change for a progressive show.

On today's episode, how can someone be so shameless/ignorant? Direct baiko and muli la gheun alay bhaskar ?

He knows he has hurt them by ghosting them years ago and now he wants to flaunt his new family in front of them?
