So she gets stunned to silence when she sees this side of his. She can handle him verbally, but in certain situations, she herself gets stumped. Also, I guess, she is not used to being protected by someone. It's something new for her also. What do you think?

Haven't seen Imlie before Aryan came on the scene much. Just saw a few episodes when I read article about Aryan entry so no idea on what happened to Imlie before . But u r right maybe she used to protect others before not the opp . This is new . This Imlie is new even Aparna said same.

Frankly, I feel that Imlie comes from a background where the "Pati Parmeshwar" concept applies. Had her marriage not happened with Aditya, she was in love with her dreams that Satyakaam had seen for her, and she herself did. In fact, Satyakaam always maintained that you need to anchor yourself with education and then fly. That somewhere got lost after this marriage.

I know Imlie idolizes Aditya a lot for his principles as a journalist, but the problem is that in this equation, the role of the protector has been taken over by Imlie, where she has always been safeguarding him and saving his life. It should have been the opposite, considering Imlie's age. Also in terms of investment, Imlie has been deeply invested in this relation and the T family, receiving the bare minimum in return. Her own emotional naivete has put her in situations where she has had to face insinuations and insults, even by the very people, she calls "apne"

With Aryan coming into the picture, and I know many would not agree, but he is another Satyakaam for Imlie, but both don't realize that yet. He is mentoring her and honing her skills. Sometimes, by teaching her and sometimes by challenging her. He is pushing her for the same thing which Satyakaam was doing from Day 1 - To be self-sufficient in every way. He said right, "Khud karna chahti ho to khud karo; saabit karo apne aap ko". So he is doing that.

Coming to love, I feel her "falling in love" has to be organic. Sita maiyya ko manti hai iska matlab ye nahi ki Sita hi ban jaaye. A village belle that she is, she has grown up where its normal to "love the husband". Had this marriage not happened, Aditya would have been her inspiration or idol, nothing else. I want Imlie to traverse the entire length of what the journey of love looks like - friendship, partnership, love, and normalizing love after a failed/forced marriage. I want each and every sucker chew the nasty words they have spewed at her. I don't want a toxic AdiLie equation. I want something as organic as we are seeing with AryLie.

Beautiful post❤️🌹Imlie has already questioned sitamaiya why she was ready to give Agni pariksha

Had you seen the episodes previously, mostly Imlie has been protecting Aditya. Although it's not a bad thing with the gender reversal, she is only 19, for God's sake. She got shot trying to protect Aditya from her village folks and Satyakaam.

I guess too that we are supposed to have some sympathy for Aditya because we see the tropes and know Aditya is not wrong in what Aryan will eventually mean for Imlie. The part that makes me facepalm is that Aditya isn't losing Imlie to another man, but he can't fathom the relationship ending for any other reason, so he's making it all about Aryan. He's missing the point and ensuring that she will never come back to him.

Thank you ji😆

By God, sympathy khud pe aati hai mujhko, iss bande ki akal ki daud dekh ke. Sab kuch dekh kar utna hi samjha jitna usko samajhna hai. Hadh hai.

So Patrakaar bhaiyya ne apne hi dimaag me soch liya what will happen between AryLie before it can actually transpire. Tu hi scriptwriter ban ja bhaiyya. Sasta writer kahin ka.

@bold: I did not get your girl. Can you explain please?

Okay, I'll do my best to explain 😂

Imlie left because it was a miserable relationship for her. It's not about that one question. That was just the last straw on top of very many many things.

But Aditya being secretly very backwards can't accept that. For him the reason has to be another man. It's ridiculous, but there are people who are like this.

The whole "is there someone else?" reaction to being left or broken up with.

There's this saying - it's better to be happy alone, than be miserable together. But some don't believe in it.

And essentially it's about insecurity and need. It comes down to someone thinking you are leaving them for something "better". That something ofcourse has to be a "someone" because they can't fathom you wanting to be alone and they so desperately need a significant other to validate their feelings and life itself. PS - I edited this alot.

Okay, so you mean to say that it's not about someone else, it's about not seeing his flaws as a husband, which are clearly visible to even his family, but not himself. He is making it about Aryan because he does not see any reason for Imlie to live separately from him, because he does not see any fault in his actions, right??

Well, I cannot say Imlie was miserable. I would say that Imlie was exhausted, a little bit short of miserable. She very well wants to live with Aditya, only if he chooses to place his faith in her and asks Malini to be relocated to her home. She has a home, for God's sake. But he doesn't want to because he wants to fulfill his obligation towards the unborn child.

Haaye ram, kitna twisted hai iski logic. Bhai baksh do hume ab yaar.🤪

Yeah, totally. It's easier to blame someone else than to engage in a little bit of introspection. But I think aside from his inability to look within, his biases are also at play. Biases about women and relationships. This man wasn't in a "successful" relationship wth a woman like Malini for no reason. Even now he is very outwardly dismissive of her, but remembers everything she says and takes her words very seriously. Is this the space for a woman in his life? I'm just speculating ofcourse. But in this current track I do see a man that behaves very strangely with women. Or just shitty writing 😂

Exhausted is a better word for Imlie maybe. I haven't seen enough of her and Aditya to know what they were like together. But it's like, you just feel empty right? She's had enough. She is showing up for herself. I do see growing misery in her now for sure. At first it seemed like the pain of separation but more and more I think it's his words.

I don't know what scene Aditya sees to make the man show up with signed papers. It will ofcourse be ridiculous, but I can't help but speculate.

It made my heart skip a beat.

Thoughts on episode -

A bit of a rant about Aditya here. I know the man is meant to be flawed and it's kind of brilliant. But why does flawed have to mean weak? Almost every time he and Imlie talks he brings up "her new friend". Imlie and Aryan don't even think of each other as friends. It's not that Aditya thinks they are secretly together. It's not even that Aditya believes any of the taunts he throws Imlie's way about her and Aryan. It's that Aditya can not stand Imlie having a male presence in her life that is not him or does not stem from him. I finally realized today.

@first bold - I honestly really like how the unspoken aspects of their scenes are playing out. He expresses so well and now that Sumbul & Fahmaan have gotten more acquainted with one another, they are playing off of each other well. They can kind of anticipate how the other will deliver a scene and go from there. It leads me to note that, by appreciating a different actor and a different pair's chemistry, doesn't mean that the other actors are lesser or insignificant. It doesn't need to be a "this or that" situation where fans of a show need to draw a black&white line in their support. Thus, I'm glad you mentioned that Aditya/Gash is doing the role he's been given well -- because Aditya is a representation of a person we may cross in life. By acting the way he has, he has garnered the viewer's attention and compelled us to discuss his actions. Otherwise, it's been frustrating to read that an opposition to new entries or a character with level force as that the newer person is a "lesser actor" or a "toxic person." Fahmaan & Aryan have both been a refreshing inclusion (& expected entry: direct, rich, etc etc) to a story that honestly has dragged and gotten so convoluted & muddy.

@2nd bold, I totally agree! It's obvious that Adi doesn't really believe anything he's saying but he just wants to hurt Imlie. He's letting himself easily be swayed by any voice that allows him to feel miserable, regretful and sullen. I'm also annoyed by the tears he sheds -- he cries so well but in the scenes he's shown them, he just seems so willful and annoying. I feel like he's crying because he can't fathom the state of his situation && not because he's realized how truly difficult it's been for Imlie. All the "difficult" things she's stated, and the reasons why viewers wanted her to get a break from Tripathi circus, are legitimately overwhelming. There is one moment I can remember when I felt so uncomfortable and worried for Imlie, despite the creators desire to show true and overflowing new love, it was when AdiLie return from PD && he's chasing her throughout the middle of the night around the dining room and stuff despite her saying "no." She was worried about the trouble they'll get into & the lines they were crossing outside their safe zone of PD. At that point, I truly felt that everything should have been laid clear bc that subterfuge was just too dangerous. With AryLie, their interactions and relationship have been clear to see from the beginning so we're saved the unnecessary complication of "defining their relationship," which is why it's even more believable that Adi doesn't really believe in the sour taunts & statements he's making.

The supposed mahaepisode will play out over the week, to show what led Aditya to divorce Imlie.

Honestly, if someone asks me, it will be some stupid OTT reaction to a very simple situation that will be convoluted in an already messed up mind of Aditya. And Aditya's crying is just annoying. What he thinks is not what is happening, which makes this victim playing all the more unnecessary and ridiculous.

Imlie should just sign the goddamn papers. Enough of this crying for this guy man. Aditya can't handle his own pain and Imlie is his favourite punching bag to release this pain. I don't think after this Imlie will try anything further. She will be in too much pain to do anything further to salvage this macabre of a relation. Her life needs a reboot.
