Also, I have to say, Aryan and Imlie's interaction today:
Imlie says that although Aryan her boss doesn't have to apologize, she wouldn't protest praise for her work and would in fact make a medal of it and wear it. His eyebrow raise to that and her answering smile plus the eye contact -
It made my heart skip a beat.
Thoughts on episode -
- It was Aditya Imlie heavy, however did not favour their relationship at all and in fact drew more boundaries. Not just romantically but professionally as well.
- Aparna's care towards Imlie is nice, and I hope that their relationship remains solid. I liked her line about what if Imlie's growing takes her away from Aditya. Seemed like a bit of foreshadowing. Distance will only grow from here as well.
A bit of a rant about Aditya here. I know the man is meant to be flawed and it's kind of brilliant. But why does flawed have to mean weak? Almost every time he and Imlie talks he brings up "her new friend". Imlie and Aryan don't even think of each other as friends. It's not that Aditya thinks they are secretly together. It's not even that Aditya believes any of the taunts he throws Imlie's way about her and Aryan. It's that Aditya can not stand Imlie having a male presence in her life that is not him or does not stem from him. I finally realized today.
I really truly enjoy Aryan and Imlie's back and forth. It's interesting to me though that whenever Imlie has a fight with Aditya, Aryan bears the brunt in some way. I wonder what this is supposed to mean if anything. It was post-Aditya dropping Malini off to college that Imlie ran into lambi gaadi and defaced her. And today, it is post Aditya calling her "difficult" that she lets loose on Aryan - although Aryan did start it here. There's one thing I'd like to change about Aryan, if he and Imlie's relationship changes from boss/employee to girlfriend/boyfriend the boy's got to learn how to say "I'm sorry" 😂
