Munna Bhai actor Ashwin Mushran in Goa accident row, video of argument with locals surfaces

Actor and voice over artist Ashwin Mushran has been accused of being involved in a road accident in Goa in which a father and son travelling on a two wheeler were allegedly hit by his car. The incident reportedly took place around 12:30 pm on Sunday in Kusman, Quepem, Margao.

According to a News18 report, Mushran was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road when his vehicle collided with the two wheeler. One of the riders reportedly suffered serious injuries and is receiving treatment at a hospital.

A video recorded after the accident has surfaced online. The footage shows Mushran and his wife arguing with people who had gathered at the spot. Local leader Amol Kanekar and others were reportedly present during the confrontation.

Speaking to In Goa 24×7, Kanekar alleged that the father and son sustained serious injuries. He further claimed that a fragment of the injured rider’s bone was found lodged in the top right tyre fender of Mushran’s car. These claims have not been independently verified.

Kanekar also alleged that Mushran and his wife left the location after the argument because they had to attend a party. According to his account, the couple did not initially apologise. Locals reportedly stopped the actor’s car and refused to let it leave until he returned and apologised.

Mushran reportedly came back after some time and offered an apology. However, the actor has not publicly addressed the allegations or shared his version of what happened.

The police version of the incident is awaited. Until the authorities establish the circumstances, the allegations surrounding the accident remain claims.

Mushran has appeared in several Hindi films. His film credits include Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Fashion, Desi Boyz, Main Tera Hero and Shehzada.

More recently, he was seen in the Vir Das starrer Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. The film received mixed reviews and had a muted run at the box office.

The Goa incident has drawn attention after the video of the post accident argument surfaced, but further details are expected to emerge once the police investigation establishes what led to the collision and what happened immediately afterwards.
