name related to stares

hey guys i was reading my astronomy book about stares and i saw a name that was related to harry potter.

STAR BRIGHT;[found in canis major]while sirius is not the brighttest star in the universe,it appers that way because it s so close to earth-just 8.6-light away.it shines as bright aas 23 suns.Because sirius lies in canis major [the great dog]its is sometimes called the dog star.its faint companion,sirius b,is a white dwarf nisknamed 'the pup'.do reply😃

hey the star name is sirius right so that means that harry potter dir gave this name to harry potter god father sirius black thats wht it means😃
