It really depends on how you dye it. I have been dip dying my hair for the past 8 years so I generally bleach once a year, twice at most (yes I am lazy). It really does a number on your hair. Since I dip dye though, most of my hair stays natural with minimal damage. Recently bleached after like 2 years (lazy lockdown) and was gonna give my hair 2 weeks to recover. Decided instead to give my hair a month to recover (again due to my laziness) before I bleach again. Will then give it another week (or two or three) before I add all my colours.

Wow. What colours have you dip dyed your hair? Dip dyeing sounds like a more safer alternative. My sister had her hair bleached blonde from pretty much the roots, so her whole hair has gone brittle and so so rough. She went from black hair to blonde and the toll it’s done on her hair is not worth it for me.

I’m too scared to dye my hair. I’m a brunette and I’ve had this boring hair colour for all of my 29 years lol. To make up for not changing my hair colour, I constantly style it. My hair is half straightish with some weird ass chunks of wavy bits in the back. I love straight hair BTW you lucky lucky human 😆

That is a prediction, in fact a pretty extreme one. Now you are saying it with some qualification, "You don't see this changing anytime soon!" I agree with your second statement depending on how you define *soon*. First one was indeed a very extreme prediction.

Your last sentence is kinda funny, like everyone is out there to destroy gender roles for fun and destroy *sex*. Not sure how sex will be destroyed since it is mostly a biologically assigned identity but anyway toxic aspects of gender roles need to go. And that is not happening for the first time, it has happened before as well and will continue to happen. The effort is to not let gender based roles and stereotyping badly affect individuals who don't fit into the *societal construction* of gender and to be mindful of what gender variations exist and how it affects/is affected by our society. If that makes women like effeminate men or men like masculine women, so be it.

I will qualifier it further, don't see it changing in my lifetime. Some things like sexuality, attraction, are quite innate, otherwise some cultures like the Islamic/Christian ones, should've socially engineered homosexuality out of existence by now. I'll make a another bold prediction, you're never going to convince men that a 500lb fat woman is more attractive than say Jacqueline Fernandez.

Sexual dimorphism is denied by the woke crowd, you've got people claiming that gender/sex are social constructs, that there is no difference between men and women except what's between the legs, and this nonsense is starting to have real world consequences. Already you have biological men who now identify as women, competing in female sports and beating them, in UK they'll start putting trans women in female jails. Despite gender roles breaking down, straight men and women still generally seek characteristics in one another that have always appealed to them.

After Kerasmoothening (thought it wasn't dead straight) I realised the value of curls. My natural hair is straight till the length of my ears and then big wavy curls. I realised I look much younger with curly hair.. it actually looks styled naturally.

I did keratin treatment once, it was great - my hair looked really nice and the quality improved over time.

I had actually gone with a friend for keratin only.. IDK what possessed over me and ended up with this 🤣

Is than an actual shot of your hair? It looks so healthy and straight. 😍 You’re gutsy for going red. I think if I ever had a chance to change my hair colour, I’ll either go darker or two shades lighter.

I think curly hair gives a person that youthful look. Drasthi Dhami looks much younger with her natural curls as opposed to straight hair.

What's interesting is that I've had wavy hair my whole life and will never have to entertain the thought of dyeing my hair. I'm pseudo-white with natural brown hair (since birth!) and greenish-grey eyes. 😆

Hullo fellow brunette-ian (made up word but you understand 😆). Holy moly, now please don’t tell me that you have dimples as well because then I’ll die from the unfairness of it all. 😍

I’ll be fine if my hair was one style (curly, straight, wavy) but it’s so annoying having random waves at the back of my head and straighter hair at the front. It just looks like I got lazy straightening half my hair so I always have to style it 😑

*Hi5*

Nope, no dimples, so rest assured. 😆 I love dimples though.

Have you tried permanent straightening? Though I won't recommend it since I've heard it ruins hair in the long run. Also you have to go for hair spa every few months.

Okay phew. Because one day I’m going to get a dimpleplasty once I’m convinced it works. Then I’ll never stop smiling. I’ll cry and smile just to flash the dimples 😆

I tried keratin hair straightening ages ago but it didn’t last and actually killed my hair. Plus, I’m not very high maintenance so I know that I won’t take care of it properly. I’ll just rely on my straightener to get the job done for now.

Ya.. that was my hair right after the treatment. Red becomes brown after 4-5 months anyways.. it sheds a lot.

After a year and a half it became a weird combination of treated and new hair.. so I have cut it off now.. letting the curls come..

I didn't get them coloured from the roots either. Don't go too light though..

I definitely won’t go too light if I ever decide to dye my hair. Too much light hair won’t suit me 😆
