i don't want ishqi to hurt herself while saving AVM - this is such a cliche FL behaviour, and I'm so not into it ;-;

and
i don't want ishqi to stay mum or helpless against mayank! she better band bajaao of mayank jaise kabhi kisi baarat mai na baji ho! but sadly she's having PTSD, she has gone through a lot of things in these past 6 months so we might not be able to see ishqi risky, but i hope we see her getting back to her real self soon :'(

also, please tell me im not the only one who hates it when men save the damsel in distresses especially when the woman is no damsel but has to be one because of circumstances.

I hate the cliche damsel in distress.

But Ishqi has been her own saviour all the time. When her only family, her maasi was battling in the hospital. She took care of everything on her own. The strongest of the strongest person would need someone by their side. But Ishqi decided to stand alone.

Ishqi as of now is not in such a good phase, she's battling a lot. Talking about giving it back to Mayank, it's quite obvious Ishqi won't have more physical strength than Mayank but Ishqi as a person has such good mental strenght that she could use it to combat a physical assault as well. But in such a scenario she needs to be in the best of her mental health so compensate for a lower physical strenght. Sadly, she's currently lacking that too. She's lacking the right mental state at the moment.

So to combat a person like Mayank all on her own, with a lesser physical strenght and also not being in the right mental state. I'd say that would be more unrealistic.

Absolutely. Only in serials women are damsels in distress. In real life life that doesn't happen. Women are much stronger and independent

exactly! it's the trauma that is affecting her - had it not been the trauma, she would stand against mayank. when she first mentioned that she'll not leave sonu's culprit and his convo w mayank, i was looking forward to what she will do but since she's having PTSD, we might not get so, and i'm kinda upset over it.

TRUE! but considering the trauma track, we might not see ishqi standing against mayank right now - but she'll definitely do something, maybe seeing mayank in front of him will enrage her idk, but I've low expectations of her being ishqi risky right now.

but i'm sure she'll become risky when the domestic violence track will start.

Cliche, I am not too sure about that but for some people, it is given - if you and your loved one ( anyone, spouse, parents, kids, anyone) stand surrounded by danger- first instinct of some people is to - shield your loved one.

yes, that is, and i agree w this. ishqi has always been helping and shielding people - not only close ones, it's just i'm not very fond of this track. it kinda shows that a ML will realise/accept his feelings for you only when you'll almost die but until then he'll be in denial or keep torturing you. i just hoped that they didn't go forward like this.

Oh yes despise that damsel in distress track. And then that same old formula for revelation. Then only if we're lucky, the ML would realize it at that point otherwise he could fight the whole world for FL's life, have a mental breakdown seeing her suffer at the hospital, threaten God to bring her back, and still go back to hating her with a passion once she recovers. If I remember correctly, Gul does that quite often😳

Funny how, people forget how such life experiences in real life, can affect and change a very strong fighter like person like Ishqi, sending them into trauma, causing PTSD and mentally being all over the place in a vulnerable state, just as it’s shown.. but instead, when seeing the realism in serials, they would say things like, “Why is she being weak? Why is she being like a damsel in distress?? Why isn’t she fighting back?? If I were in her place I would have fought back. Women are much stronger than they are showing.” Etc Just like you all are saying on here!

It’s SOOOO much easier to sit behind and dictate how other ppl should react to things, when none have walked in the shoes of the person! Nor do they TRY TO! I honestly did not like this show in the beginning, I felt it was waay too OTP and the lead girl wasn’t bearable to watch due to her overacting and how repeatedly negative the dialogues were!! But now, the show, the chemistry and the story is actually picking up pace! The lead girl has impressively improved ALOT! I can actually see and feel the leads chemistry with each other, which wasn’t taking in effect, before!!

People!! I understand you want the character Ishqi to be, to live, and behave in a certain way, a way you are used to seeing.. BUT understand, any person who gets kicked and kicked at every corner in life, for a long period of time, whenever they see some hope of growth and looks to grow.. will get used to falling down and see it as their new normal! This CHANGES a person as they become conditioned to adapt to the changes that life throws at them, so they are able to find the strength in their survival! They develop severe PTSD and try not to repeat any actions that may cause any conflict in any way! I can relate to this PTSD!

Ishqi had been trying for jobs ENDLESSLY, looking for places to stay, like a mad woman! Had been LITERALLY begging to be hired, for weeks and months.. but everytime receiving the same exact response and having her aunt to take care of, running from her abusive uncle, trying to shelter and protect her aunt while also fighting against all odds for SIX MONTHS has taken an immense toll on her! She finally was forced to come to that exact same resort and is super grateful now to be able to land and keep a waitress job, at the least and able to provide a shelter, food and safe space for her aunt.. that she by now does not have the means or strength to fight anyone for any reason that might cause her to loose the only saving grace for them right now, that is, her job at the resort!

So till the truth is out and Ishqi feels safe again to live freely without being blacklisted.. where she can stand up on her own feet again, earn from a job that holds value for her, able to buy a house for her aunt and her to live in.. she wouldn’t feel confident in herself to fight for the rights!

So EVERYONE.. HAVE a HEART, take a DEEP breath! HAVE patience and allow the story to unfold and trust that the truth going to be out SOON!! Till then.. catch a break and have faith!

The show is being emoted very well realistically, in terms of Ishqi. True, the truth wouldn’t have been dragged for so long from revealing in real life, at least Karthik would know the real story, so he could support Ishqi and Sonu, as needed.. but then, if this happened, it wouldn’t have been a serial 🙃.

Keep watching and waiting for the truth to be out!! :D
