I think it failed because of Pakhi’s reaction. I was surprised no one owned their decisions and put the blame on Virat. Sao knew his plan and supported him but when it backfired everyone blamed him.

Well Sai never supported him.. though she knew the plan definitely..Multiple times she told him to inform Patralekha about her coming along with them, but he said he will take care.. She did not support him in his plan..She agreed to be with him... That was wrong decision and he was rightly blamed for it..Even his friend stopped him from going forward with it...

By staying silent, she was part of the plan and I agree it was a wrong decision taken by Virat no second thoughts about it.

Of course she was part of the plan, thats why she was going.. but did not support it , she agreed to Virat wanting to handle it, but she never did say she is okay with the plan..

Virat always said he will take care, he will manage ..He was warned by both Sai and SUnny that its not something he should go with ..Whenever she mentioned, even after the cloth packing incident when he could not even deny Pakhi's proposal of packing his clothes in her bag, that he should inform her, its not right.. She just did not want to against him and tell it to the family.. Also she had to bear the brunt of Patralkeha's anger, her manhandling and the blames by the family that she was chupke chupke going with her husband on a trip..Its not just Virat who had to bear the blames. Sai was blamed for going on a trip with her husband like a "chor" as well.

Though I agree Virat was trying to be really too mahaan, trying to bridge gaps between two important people in his life, two important members of his family.

If I m right before virat could say anything sai ji jumped in as always or maybe I saw wrong thing .

I read in timeline something in original sunny insulated emon coz she was trying to reunite him with his parents aisa hi kuch hua tha , so maybe harini will insult sai.
