Aarti Ravi’s mother Sujatha Vijayakumar reacts to Ravi Mohan’s blackmail allegations

Producer Sujatha Vijayakumar has publicly responded to actor Ravi Mohan after his recent allegations against estranged wife Aarti Ravi. The ongoing controversy surrounding the former couple has continued to attract attention online following Ravi Mohan’s latest press conference.

Ravi Mohan, who married Aarti in 2009, announced their separation in 2024 after nearly 15 years of marriage. In recent months, the actor has also remained in headlines over rumours linking him to singer and spiritual healer Keneeshaa Francis.

During his media interaction on Saturday, Ravi alleged cyberbullying, harassment and personal struggles. He also claimed that Aarti had emotionally pressured him into marriage by harming herself. Responding to the accusations, Sujatha Vijayakumar strongly defended her daughter while speaking to the media.

Addressing Ravi’s allegation that he was being stopped from meeting sons Aarav and Ayaan, Sujatha dismissed the claim completely. She stated, “It is a completely false claim that Ravi Mohan is not being allowed to see his children. No one can prevent that.”

Referring to Ravi’s remarks about blackmail, Sujatha pointed towards an old magazine interview from 2008. She said, “There was an interview in Vikatan magazine in 2008 that explained this. I am looking for it now. It reveals who got blackmailed and who cut their wrists to get married.”

She also denied Ravi Mohan’s statements regarding financial control and medical expenses. Responding to his claim about contributing Rs 25,000 monthly towards her treatment, Sujatha stated that even if such payments were made, it would only be part of his responsibility as a son in law.

When asked about Ravi’s controversial “three letter idli actress” remark and speculation around Khushbu Sundar, Sujatha chose not to elaborate further, citing legal reasons.

She further revealed that the ongoing public controversy has emotionally affected the family, especially her grandson, who is currently appearing for Class 10 examinations. Speaking about the situation, she said the child is under considerable stress after witnessing matters he should not have experienced at such a young age.

Meanwhile, neither Ravi Mohan nor Aarti Ravi has issued any fresh statement following Sujatha Vijayakumar’s response.
