Diana Penty stuns in metallic saree during Bharat Pavilion appearance at Cannes 2026

Actor Diana Penty returned to the Cannes Film Festival 2026 with another fashion focused appearance, this time representing Indian couture at the Bharat Pavilion in a custom gold saree by designer Manish Malhotra. The actor’s latest look quickly drew attention online for blending traditional Indian draping with modern couture elements.

Diana attended the Bharat Pavilion event on May 17 in a metallic toned saree designed specially for the festival appearance. The ensemble featured a contemporary interpretation of the classic Indian saree while retaining strong traditional influences through its silhouette and styling.

Sharing glimpses of the look, Diana described the outfit as a custom knit Manish Malhotra saree and reflected on the symbolism of gold in Indian culture. The actor’s appearance marked another Cannes outing focused on Indian craftsmanship and fashion representation at the global event.

The saree featured a structured blouse with a plunging neckline and sculpted shoulder detailing, giving the outfit a dramatic couture inspired finish. The draped silhouette flowed into a cape style pallu that added movement to the ensemble as she walked through the venue.

A metallic waist belt completed the outfit and highlighted the structured styling of the saree. The overall look balanced traditional Indian textures with sharper contemporary tailoring, a combination increasingly seen on international red carpets.

For accessories and beauty, Diana kept the styling coordinated with the gold theme. Her shoulder length hair was styled in soft waves with a side parting, while the makeup included bronzed skin, smoky eye makeup and nude glossy lips.

This marks Diana Penty’s third consecutive appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. She is attending Cannes 2026 in association with BMW India and the BMW Excellence Club.

Over the years, Diana’s Cannes appearances have largely focused on understated glamour and Indo western styling rather than heavily dramatic red carpet fashion. Her latest Bharat Pavilion look continued that approach while leaning more strongly into couture experimentation.
