He can’t leave the show midway even if he wants to and tbh we don’t know if he’s even seeking other opportunities.

They have a contract to abide by and whatever the story maybe, they get paid tons for it and that’s what matters in the long run.

It’s a top rated show, making him huge backs every month, especially in today’s competitive industry where there’s no guarantee if shows will last and be successful. He has nothing to lose really & Kartik’s character is still better in terms of content than most MLs in ITV.

Last I heard, it was 65/70 k per day last year for Mohsin & Shivangi, with an additional weekly or bi-weekly remuneration by star plus.

Can be wrong.

Apparently Parth and some of Ekta’s leads earn around 100k for every epis/ per day.

It’s the writing imo because regardless of what the cvs say, they can’t sell Kartik acting like himself or how he used to with Naira, with someone else.

The scenes between them aren’t cute and the banter is just not funny. It comes across as so forced especially because of all the baggage Kartik has. I would assume he would want to spend all his time with his sick son rather than ranting to people on the street or fighting kabadi matches for Sirat.

Having said that, even the acting has been lacking from both the actors. Whilst Shivangi has lost a sense of balance in her scenes, Mohsin just comes as over it all. Kartik’s demurred nature can be intentional as well to show the contrast in his and Sirat’s personalities but like someone said, Mohsin just comes across as sleepwalking. It’s obvious from his offscreen interviews that he isn’t interested in the show or the storyline. He’s just doing his job and unfortunately for him, that lack of interest is pretty apparent in his scenes, especially the ones with Sirat.

I still love watching Kartik & Kairav and wish cvs could give us more of them than Sirat and Goenka’s.

Exactly Mohsin's lack of interest in story line is quite evident. he was not interested in Shivani being sirat also... Mohsin was one actor who was quite enthusiastic during Kaira phase with frequent improvisations and all...now just everything falls flat with his scenes with sirat...i think this whole complication in story line came due to RS's obsession with Shivin and their chemistry...but i dont think its working anymore..

I don’t blame him for not being interested in the show anymore. The show has nothing new to offer for his character. They literally give him the same scenes which he’s been doing since the past 3 weeks over and over again.

Shivangi got a whole new character, accent, look, background, what did he get? Nothing.
On top of that, everyone from the team seems obsessed with Shivangi and Sirat. The way she was promoted anyone will be annoyed. Kartik/ Mohsin owned the 10 episodes Shivangi wasn’t present in. Onscreen it was all Kartik & off screen the team was only interested in Sirat/Shivangi?

If Sirat is not Naira then even he must know that his character will be badly ruined to cater to this new lovestory.
Trp is still coming, so something is definitely working but I am curious to see if they will be able to sustain this new character in the long run. The character has zero substance & is only good for screeching & self victimising.

Yes .. i also think they have over expectations from shivangi...giving her a character that's completely new and expecting her to do as well as she did naira is something I felt too much...the way garima told shivi being very versatile and talented..i doubt them even doing a screen test or mock shoot of sorts which they do for every character...i sometimes think shivi was just thrown into playing this character and was not completely prepared and that could be the reason why her portrayal comes across as crass and out of balance.

It’s been around 2 months now. Anyone watching the epis can see how bad and ott the acting is.
I think established actors are not given genuine feedback because of which they keep repeating the same mistakes repeatedly.
Her fans and trp have deluded her into believing that she’s doing a very good job. She’s been so confident about her performance since the first day that I feel she won’t even pay heed to constructive feedback even if she’s given any.
Instead of spending so much time on her boxing training, she should have learned the new dialect.
Even Kartik had to throw punches in one scene last week & he did it without training 😂.

Also his scene lasted longer compared to Sirat’s boxing matches 🤷🏻‍♀️😂😂.

Now a star for them will never be remembered again !! They will ruin both the characters beyond repairs and then dump them or leave them in a corner. Later they will bring in grown up kids to take the story forward.

Sorry for this but here I feel even Shivangi & Mohsin are not showing their self respect. This is the saturation point, here you need start looking for more interesting and meatier roles.

One cannot go on with the same character for lifetime. Karan left on time, even Hina left on time. Once they cross a certain age, they won't get young age roles again.

I sometimes feel RS surely has something in his contract, wherein the leads fear from leaving the show or speaking anything against it.
