๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณHappy Republic Day!! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

It has been soooh long since we saw Chakram niwasis having a full-fledged go at one another. Kitna miss Kar rahe they hum inko... You bet, its like cvs can read our mind about missing the drama..Apt title for today's episode.

What a contrast the two scenes were: on the one hand, Ninad and Ashwini's dysfunctional marriage becomes a spectacle in front of the family and on the other, their son -- ACP Virat Chavan is tacitly threatening a college student, who's given him a jolt to get a grip on what was meant to be a dysfunctional marriage to begin with.

So, in absence of Sai, they have a go at Ashwini for the slightest of things. Needless to say, it was heartbreaking to watch her in that position -- even the younger couple having a chance to demean and insult her... But what would anyone expect if there is no 'husband' by the side of a woman who has been seen as "unworthy" since the beginning. How similar could Ashwini and Sai's stories have been had Virat taken after his father?

Ashwini's angst from a failed marriage and the weight of carrying the facade of it being a 'successful' one has slowly begun to come undone. I have no words to spare for a man who addresses his wife as โ€œYou womanโ€ with a condescending tone to begin with. And, then goes on to comment about her education and her physical appearance -- really, what was the compulsion that this great Shahannav Kuli Maratha family with pseudo Maratha values had to 'shelter' this woman in marriage and condemn her for the rest of her life? Does a man like Ninad, who feels a woman should be slapped or beaten to teach her a lesson or make her toe the line, deserve any woman in his life to begin with. He's handing out the same disrespect to his son's wife by repeating his she is not worthy of a 'mature' conversation. Height hai! ๐Ÿ˜ก

After this many years, being in a combined family, even if there is disgust, please keep it within your room. Look and learn from your son. He has a thousand complaints against his wife. But he never puts her down infront of all. To be in a shelter like someone as disgusting as Ninad, any woman would rather runaway. I am hoping Ashwini stayed to support her son and the other children in the house who is her weakness.

It is true that people project their own ways of thinking on others. Bhavani's accusations that Ashwini is eyeing Sai's money, which is her motivation to support her, is such an obnoxious way of degrading a mother. And coming from the woman, who seems to have no motherly instinct for anyone including her own biological daughter. I can't decide if it was Bhavani's comment about Sai's eventual success or Ninad's comment about Ashwini's mediocre looks and education that made me angry... I guess it was both. Yes, everything was coming on so bad, I just hated it. While one cannot expect anything better from BA Pass Kaku, Ninad, by the virtue of being a man whose son Ashwini has borne is the one in the lower pit. If nothing, at least accord the woman the respect she deserves as your child's mother.

Ashwini's hurt and retaliation is so understandable but it is also true that she cannot put up a fight against the pack of wolves charging at her without the backing of her now powerful son -- powerful by his value systems, not position. Has Virat ever heard his father speak of his disgust and contempt for his mother? Would he have been able to let this slide? I am glad for Sai did not hear much of this exchange too or it would have turned into a war of different kind and Ninad ko cardiac arrest ho hi jaata. Bappa ne jaan bacha li aaj Baap bete, dono ki ๐Ÿ˜… Height hai ๐Ÿ˜‚

So far it is obvious that Ashwini has sheltered Virat from a lot of unpleasant truths and as we go further it is getting clearer that his idea of 'dil-ke-acche' Ghar ke bade will come undone one layer at a time. Yes, and I can resonate with her, because no mom wants her child to hate their father. I am guessing this is the only reason Ash has put up with Ninad.

Unfortunately, all three sons of the house have been raised in such an environment where rising up to autocracy is seen as unforgivable defection to the side of the enemy. Sonali shutting up Mohit speaks volumes of the fact that he wasn't raised by her at all. I am not sure if Ashwini was the official nanny to all children, while being the mother to Virat but can't help wonder how all four of the next generation -- Devyani, Samrat, Virat and Mohit -- do not subscribe to the value systems or the lack of it of the autocrats of the family and have refused to join the militia that runs it.

Mohit speaking up for Ashwini was heartening to see. Hugs to Mohit. It's time that his personality is shown because he's technically the actual doosra beta of the house and the only pure blood that the autocracy demands. What a joke it is when they say is Ghar me bahuon ke Saath Bhed bhaav Nahi hota... There is so much 'disparity of respect' between the sons and then between the sons and the daughters. I wish they show lighter moments between other couples than stuck with the entire family drame. I mean, they could have gotten a saree vendor home and shown folks picking new clothes. May be, with a pretty please and cherry on top, Sai also gets to pick something and some eye conversation with Virat to help select. Give some lighter episodes, bonding. Ofcouse, we dont mind if Jali hui didi is around or went to get toxic tea.

I liked PP for one moment -- she was indeed feeling bad for Ashwini and one could see her uncomfortable when Ashwini spoke of the 'iccha, armaan and haq' of a wife... I felt she understood Ashwini's feeling for a fleeting moment and even found Ninad's comment distasteful. But although she rushed to end the fight in a very neutral manner and even asked Bhavani to end it, her allegiance to the Makad Sena is going to be her biggest undoing. At the end of the day, she must return to the camp she has chosen for her own venom. No wonder she could only think of getting them all some more of the 'extoxic' tea ๐Ÿ˜…. I think PP is given a single dailogue, I will get tea for all. She feels free to use it anywhere and everywhere. They probably own a tea estate without out knowledge. Where Samrat is hiding.

It made me wonder, would she have been an ideal bahu with real concern for the family had she actually been married to Virat? I almost wanted to say yes but then I realised, "No". A person who is unfaithful in the very essence of agreeing to a marriage cannot be a different person in a different situation. Her outward behaviour towards Ashwini would have possibly been different but not because she would have genuine love for the mother in law , but because if the fact that it would be the ideal virtue to display --display is the word. It would have been ideal until something or someone would need her to move out of her comfort zone or let go of her right over her 'prized possession' 1.47 hours love wala husband for any issues. She is nothing but show off, anything to get things going her way. If not, would have empathaized Sai, when Virat flung the dinner plate, when she went out to DIG office, when she was grinding chillies and latest when our Saheb was Bhooka with whatever imaginations..

There are many women like PP, who marry, adjust and put their best foot forward when they get the man of their dreams. They fulfill responsibilities with utmost precision on display but it is just that -- a display. Because being truly in love with the man or those close to him would mean showing the mirror when it is needed, even if it comes at the cost of being misunderstood. PP would have probably lived in the bubble if she had indeed married Virat and received double the respect from the approving elders for being the 96KSKMMSPP variety of heir producing machine -- and Virat too, would have lived in the bubble, oblivious to the grey that he's now beginning to see under the rosy landscape of his mansion. And there would have been no breaking of shackles, no renewing spirits and no growth. There is so much unlearning and relearning that Virat needs to do, which will eventually happen when Shiva-Sai establish the rightful 'Hindavi Swaraj' -- refusing to live as slaves, where the kingdom is as much the king's as of the last standing subject.

How many days in the week does Chakram niwas allow Shivani and Mansi to have a total sisters day out and be MIA?

*******

Was the round up meant to be funny? I took it at face value only ๐Ÿ˜… Yes

So ACP Chavan saheb, accompanied by two caricaturish Police Inspector and a constable arrive at the college to check "permission" for fresher's event. Not bad, Chavan. But in the end, you let it slip that they didn't even have the police permission? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜„ What if you have to meet this Dean someday as your wife's husband? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Uss din toh toofan mail ko sab pata chal Jayega ๐Ÿ˜… hopefully by then you'd have progressed in your mission... oh thank Bappa that she was dressed in yellow and you could spot her immediately...๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‘ And what's with all these naamkarans he keeps doing.... Badbad devi, Jhagda champion, rebel queen, zill-e-ilaahi and now toofan mail ๐Ÿ˜ Sai has a lot of catching up to do after Gabbar with this PMSing husband of hers.

So he came, he saw head-to-toe, he measured the height ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ and he gave the permission to sing?! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ But not to impress anyone.... someone.๐Ÿ˜… Arrey Chavan Saheb, lage haath you should have asked him which song he plans to sing for the event. It would have made it easier for you to sing it to Sai first and satiate your ego ๐Ÿ˜‚ of watching her reaction first. Then she would tell Aniket, "Arrey wah, mere husband ne bhi ye gaana gaya hai..."๐Ÿ˜†

Waise how hard did he try to hide from toofan mail ๐Ÿ˜‚ and they actually played the background music they used for Jagtap earlier ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ aaj toh Sai Ka ek aur premonition sach ho Gaya

"Jagtap 2.0. you just follow me wherever i go" Yes, out ACP is no lesss and the way he was in wardi and the kiddo saying, I have settled the canteen bills, was super hilarious..he must be thinking how silly I am, but nah, we went on looking could care less if it was the Dean himself infront of him..He cant get eye contact if he is doing something wrong. The way he was checking out Aniket, gosh and the funny part was he is scared of his wife. how cute..

Arrey but Chavan saheb, you must follow her wherever she goes like a Hutch puppy not the stalker you are assigned to nab under 354D ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ the two PIs also confused ki Saheb Aaye Kyun Hain ๐Ÿ˜… waise Dean ne office me invite Karke bacha liya or else he was going to run into Sai and face a barrage of embarrassing questions ๐Ÿ˜ and lifelong ammunition for her to pull his leg and make his face become the laal gubbara again.

But maan na padega, Sai Joshi mein dum hai... Dean ke office ke door se she can peep, call out, exchange goodbye with the friend and the Dean. Did Chavan Saheb totally miss how important it was for her to say that bye to the khet?!๐Ÿ˜‚ Waise, today was another proof that he can even recognise Sai's half whisper voice ๐Ÿคฉ... Chavan Saheb, aapko Woh life changing phone call par kya ho Gaya tha, ye batao ki all you could say was "Who's this!?"๐Ÿ˜…

So Aniket's first dialogue exchange happened with Virat Chavan on the screen. Shukar hai, pata chalega is baat pe bhi Chavan saheb hangry ho Gaye ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜… waise aaj toh breakfast, lunch acche se khaa Kar Aaye thay college. So, he's done a recce of the event and he knows who his competitor is. He didn't seem flustered at all after visiting the 'khet'. Apni farming techniques par kaafi confident lag Rahe thay ๐Ÿ˜ƒ now get to sowing the seeds Chavan Saheb or you'll miss the season of bloom, jiski puja ka drama Aapke saamne unfold Hoga.

Waiting for Sai to find out that her jealous Pati unabashedly misused his khaki to 'check out' the singer. Waise, am a tad disappointed.. Chavan Saheb ne voice testing Nahi Kiya -- 1,2,3 check... ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

Now when he goes home he better not find the Baiko all dressed up and dancing to -- 18 baras ki kanwaari kali thi.. Ghoonghat mein mukhda chhupaake chali thi.. phasi dori, Phasi dori Channe Ke Khet Mein.. Hui Chori Channe Ke Khet Mein ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ farm fire lag jayegi poore Nagpur mein! Ha ha ha, Yes. I still think it was very realistic he used his uniform. I have seen people do it in real life. He was like one of the IPS officers today, not the duty wala but general how police officer is...

*****

So bring on the Alta drama tomorrow. Hopefully the eyes will get some relief from this burst of yellow once they are done. My eyes are burning with the yellow! ๐Ÿ˜‘

If anyone tells you to be a yellow stardust today, listen, smile and agree but go on to become the pink stardust or better-- kesri, safed aur hara ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ spread the joys, hugs ๐Ÿค— and love โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’– enjoy your coffee โ˜•โ˜• and tea ๐Ÿต๐Ÿต and grab a cupcake ๐Ÿง or muffin, if you please. Bas ek Baar, for all those heroes who protect the freedom with which we breathe, say a Jai Hind! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Love you all

Super Janki, I had the guts to watch the episode only after reading your post. Gosh, what a ruthless family. Unbelievable how they target someone and bring them under pressure. Ashwini for all the love you shower, these guys arent worth it at all, got to tell you. Please go with your DIL once she finishes college. For any son, seeing his mom treated by his wife as her own would be the world's best gift and peace. Sai gets 200% credit and being the soul saviour of her. Even against her own son. Kudos girl

His jealousy is right now veering towards the unhealthy and i hope he finds control on his emotions before it turns into that. Because the justification of feeling jealous is missing. He can be this jealous if he indeed made it clear that they are husband and wife in all sense. And it's not even like she's actually going out of her way to befriend men. So, while I understand the underlying factor for his insecurity, his bursting out at her randomly and using her flaws to cover up his own action that has come from his insecurity is actually putting off. But then, he's the alpha male. And women find it attractive. It is not. Their banter was cute but not the jealousy.

True. This behaviour of going on a round-up is sure to freak out any wife/gf. It is akin to stalking, marking territory which is downright creepy. I wished they had avoided it, even if for fun. His outbursts too will not have proper closure - because this is ITV.

I feel another angle in the Virat jealousy episodes. In both the episodes, there was another common important thread apart from 'eligible' young men. During Amey track, Sai tells Amey about how dissatisfied she is in her life - taunting in-laws, careless husband and murjhaai hui zindagi. While talking about Aniket , Sai also talks about how she has changed after marriage - she was a fun-loving, enthusiastic person- which she no longer is and also expresses her sadness at being teased about her 'married' status in college. I don't think this common thread was a coincidence. In both these episodes, Virat takes this information from Sai very seriously and his angst is clearly visible. At some level, Virat is very well aware that Sai's life has turned worse after she married him (courtesy CN). This is making him feel inadequate and insecure. Since Sai is 'free', he is afraid that Sai may leave him for a 'better' man. I feel that his belief in Sai's unhappiness + his inadequacy in keeping Sai happy + his own deep-rooted insecurity/poor self-esteem+ availability of eligible men is together pushing him to tipping point.

Sorry sukri

Virat don't follow anyone not let anyone overpower him not even sai . Virat would had supported his wife not been silent viewer or he is never a blind supporter of kaku . If virat was like other chavan mens & blind follower of kaku then I m sorry no way virat would had tolerated sai 's nonsense in GC as sai would had been taught a good lesson by any other IPS officer in place of virat . Virat still let her go easily & 4 kamal sir , he do understand from where she is coming from .

Virat see , listen & then reacts to d situation, he supported Shivani despite kaku mandali accusing shivani without sai asking him, he has taken stand for his mother Ashwani 2 that too without sai guiding him , sai could not make virat apologize Ashwani but virat apologize coz he felt he did wrong to Ashwani. He has taken responsibility of sai's education that's why it his duty to make it happen, sai dint forced him . Virat always do what he want , which he thinks is right thou be listens to everyone.

Sai act as a catalyst to make him see how wrongly he thinks of his family that his family is dil se acche. Virat has his own brain & identity. Sai don't force others to see things

Kaku mandali ka rona issi baat ka hain ki they can't overpower virat as he manage his way out

Sorry for d misunderstanding , I had not read shivpatni saibai , yes I had search for saibai but only found limited info for her but I had read jeejabai used to consider saibai as her own daughter then DIL & trained her also as saibai was a child at her marriage, thank u for d information.

Mansi Bua ka jyada koi part nhi dekhaya gaya hain . I just hope she is not evil.

Definately virat would be well aware of his parent's relationship bitterness but if d way Ashwani was treated today by ninad or once before also ninad lost his cool on Ashwani when virat was in GC , if this kind of treatment was been given to Ashwani before virat , I can with guarantee say virat will not be silent & sabak given to ninad chavan by virat will be unforgettable .

I hope we get ninad virat scene . Aapne bepannah serial mein Aditya Hooda ( Harshad chopra ) ka character ko dekha , I want that attitude of virat for ninad chavan & kaku mandali.

Thank u.

As always beautifully captured and explained, it gives a nice perspective while watching the episode. Well i did watch the episode today only for our Chavan saheb (Neil is super cool as Virat)

Coming to the episode, it was a good one some insights why the family is the way it is and why Bhavani is so powerful. Also don't think there was a romantic angle between Ninad and Bhavani but more of an interference in their marriage. And that shows clearly as it still exists. But the only question is why get Ninad married to Ashwini then (what was Bhavani's motto - So that she always stays superior). As the way her character is shown, she wants her way in everything.

Coming to our favourite Vahini, could she be a good wife to Virat (if may be, kintu parantu). Well i want to sympathize with her but i can not. What has she done to be a good wife, call her pyar on the wedding night (that reflects how responsible she is or she would have been). But chalo ek benefit of doubt de diya. Had she married Virat what next, say things went normally Virat would have proposed (no Samrat or Sai in picture) and gharwale would have agreed for the marriage, so would the couple live happily every after. Now that's debatable, she doesn't take a stand in anything or for anyone, but if fingers are pointed at her she would make sure she would give it back in a very manipulative way. She is a people pleaser and always likes to be in everyone's good books. How far the facade would run, would she be so docile had Virat been her husband, don't think so. The one who would have suffered the most would be Virat's mother (Ashwini Aai) and that would have killed the man.

Apne Chavan saheb ke kya kehne, he is behaving like a teenager who wants to know who is his competition, and for once i don't blame him he is living those feelings which he might have never felt in his teens. The moments were lighter, much needed as he has been on a roller-coaster since his marriage. Yes, i hold a position and i used it (is it wrong???) - Maye be but given the situation i think he can be leveraged. So again is it love - May or may not be but its certainly an insecurity which has stemmed that i am not the only man in her life - which is bothering (and when the wife continuously hyped praises it didn't help either). His Emotional outburst are an issue but that's his own doing as he bottles up emotions, he needs to let loose.

Well what i liked rather loved the most - Oh yes when was the last time Chavan saheb blushed

That blush, that smile which said "What the hell am i doing? Behaving like this" - Said it all (Kudos to Neil for his wonderful expressions as always). Its good to watch Virat on screen.

Now the question of the day, will it stop here??? Don think so, Kal milta hoon has raised an eyebrow, lets wait an watch. I am expecting more of Jeko Virat, its fun and hope in this process he realises what has he made his wife go through, by attaching a third wheel to his marriage (may be thats a parrallel they are drawing by showing the family drama).

Thoughts welcome, chappals as well๐Ÿ˜‰

He planned the round up so I guess he must have brought a jeep and constables she couldn't recognise. May be the police station patrol jeep instead of his own ๐Ÿ˜†

And so also the constable didn't recognize madam ACP and thoko salute which they usually do ๐Ÿ˜†

I think they will take this jealousy track forward. I am hoping he will introspect on why he's feeling insecure. But more likely, they will argue about it at some point, and Sai will throw his Pakhi my best friend raag, back at him.

I have noticed a pattern...they always show up the double standards existing in society or in CN within a month. We had Kaku berating Sai for getting fed, with PP joining in. Then PP tried to feed Virat. Finally, Ashwini fed Virat! And then, it was acceptable. But as the audience, we notice these immediately. Then, the reaction to mirchi kaand... different strokes for Sai and PP.

So mostly, Aniket will play the role of showing up the so called 'fraandship' ..pure and perfect. ๐Ÿ˜†

I understand your view. If he wants to take a stand, no one can overpower him, I dont doubt that.

But Virat doesn't care about kitchen politics. He would have tried to please everyone and move on, which is what he had been doing all along before Sai came to his house.

However my point is that he is forced to take a stand at home due to Sai and her fighting spirit.

If it wasn't Sai, he wouldn't have been as involved in changing ghar ke niyam etc.

If not, then he would have tried to make efforts to find out about his sister. He would have tried to stop them from taunting Karishma. He just believes whatever his family told happened and takes them at face value and think they know what they are doing.

If it was any other girl, C-Gang would have bullied her into giving up her dreams without the blame coming on them and have become Ashwini 2.0. He would have never known what happens with his wife either.
