Winning miss world is not solely based on your looks. There are multiple reasons from how you conduct yourself, the way you talk, your personality and much much more. There is a reason Priyanka Chopra took the Miss World crown too despite not being the "best" looker from the lot. Same goes for Manushi. You might not think that she's as gorgeous as someone like Aishwarya for example, but she had the "it" factor to win the pageant according to the judging panel.

So did Yukta Mookhey and Diana Hayden...and guess what? both of them faded into obscurity(and so did Sushmita and Lara but that's another topic/story)! so what's your point again?

I don’t think Alia deserves to be in Bollywood because I don’t find her acting that great.

Simple looking is different than looking “kiddish”, that’s not the same thing.

Neither at the moment. Hyping up potential actors before their debut even happens is the reason nepotism is doing so well in Bollywood. I will look forward to their work when they do a good job in their movie but before that they are irrelevant to me.

Manushi if she ever debuts that is .

Aloo didn't have to pass through several rounds of scrutiny, competing with hundreds of beautiful women from different countries. It's not easy to become Miss World. It's a long and strenuous process, having the right body, face, brains and ability to speak.

Whereas what did Aloo do to get SOTY or any of the other projects. They were literally handed over to her on a silver platter.

Why is it seen as such a great thing to root for a beauty pageant winner over a girl who has a father from the same profession?

If you think about it: Manushi is ONLY getting films based on how pretty she is. Whereas Shanaya has grown up around actors and actresses her whole life, she has been on film sets, she has that backstage knowledge, she is interested in film-making - but somehow she's the evil one because she's a flop actor's daughter????

As if any one of us would reject a film offer if we happened to be related to someone also from the world of showbiz: "I'm sorry Anurag Basu I can't act in your movie, it would be morally wrong because my chachi's chacha was a background dancer in 1945, please offer your movie to Miss Asia Pacific Runner Up 2020, she is far more deserving".
