Go to villages in UP and Bihar and you will find casteism.

My roommate was from Hathras & the lower caste people aren't even allowed in many places and temples. She was quite vocal about not being able to sharing her room with a dalit or Muslim.

Understand the sarcasm.😆

Yes, but casteism is real, and this is a hate crime.

In a small town like Hathras, these goons would target the underprivileged first.

I know, I have seen this discrimination happening where Dalits are not allowed to fetch water from village's main well

Casteism and elitism is very much prevalent. It's why in many Brahmin households (including my own granddad) and also non Brahmin, servants are given different utensils. Matlab these people cook your food and they are somehow so 'unhygienic' they cannot share your food. Its not that everyone treats lower caste badly or beats and abuse them but that does not change the fact that discrimination however subtle is still discrimination.

I really didn't want to say this but since people keep on bringing my "running away from wedding" story again and again on this forum, I have to finally say this.

That story which I wrote was 100% true. Whatever I wrote on that thread actually happened in my life. I got very emotional that day and I couldn't hold myself back, so I wrote my heart out. But then I broke down because of talking about my past, because it really hurts to confront your feelings. I don't like getting sympathy from people as it hurts me more.

So I shrugged it off as a fake story so that nobody sees me as a poor woman. But now that people keep on bringing it again and again as a joke, I couldn't help it, because this hurts me more than people viewing me with sympathy.

Please forget about that story and never bring that up again. I don't want to talk about it.

Hey Sorry. I really thought it was a joke. I promise, won't bring it up again.

Take care.

We talk about crime against women but still drag these actresses for not speaking up! Let's just treat them like everybody else, not someone you look upto. Enough of the hype we gave or the hate. The world already has so much negativity and hate. Let's not analyse why they did what they did! Instead stand together to raise this issue for the government to act on it soon! We are the same people who created a history by asking justice for Sushanth, let's all take a stand here for the girl we lost in front of our own eyes!
