That film really was showed Imtiaz's weakness. Same thing about each time about some lame ass self reflection 😆

I've been trying to say this forever. Unless there are some underworld shady deals, most top producers/directors are not getting "forced" into any casting decisions. Karan can recommend Alia for Highway but it is Imtiaz and Sajid who made the decision to take her because they ultimately wanted her. Just like Imtiaz made the decisions to take newcomers like Nargis for Rockstar or Deepika for LAK.

Yeah, Ranbir and Kjo both lobbied for Alia to be cast in Tamasha but Imtiaz chose to cast her in Highway instead, a quicky he wanted to make before starting Tamasha.

So just because couldnt take her in Tamasha, gave her Highway instead. Apparently, being replaced is normal in Bollywood, so how many of those replaced also received another movie from the same maker?

the only saving grace was deepikas looks, I mean that with all due respect.
