Enough with the Tripti love, its annoying now. Lets get real, Tripti is not a mainstream Bollywood material, she's too bland for commercial movies no matter how great of an actress she's. She'll never make it big in commercial cinema, she'll be in the OTT/web zone only.

On the other hand, Sonam is one of the most gorgeous actress, she acts & dances decent. But her overflowing charisma & gigantic screen presence make up for her lack of acting. She's atleast not bland & plain jane looking like Tripti.. watching paint dry is more interesting than looking at the blandness of Tripti.

Hi Sonam 😆

The "mediocre" actress debuted in a high budget flop.. the "talented" actress debuted in a low budget flop

High budget flop at least gives you publicity. Low budget flop makes you forgetable.. not to mention, Sonam stars in a lot of her family productions..

With OTT platform evening out the playing field between everyone she should have at least gotten noticed. There wasn’t a single critic that didn’t note she seems to have a range without limitations. As a person just mentioned Bulbbul seems to have become one of the most watched films on Netflix.

Again I don’t want to shove Tripti down people’s throat or say this is proof of injustice in the industry. But this is a sad state of affairs in Bollywood even if explainable how are we ever going to make change to see quality talent onscreen.

Sonam might be getting scripts but how many of those are good scripts?! For example, Alia might read 4 scripts and all 4 are good. Sonam might read 10 scripts and only 1 is decent. Quality over quantity. The number of scripts don't matter ultimately, the quality of work does. Tripti can make a name for herself if she chooses good work. Otherwise, there is no point of being a good actress and doing bad work like Parineeti.

And the less said about Sonam's "talent", the better.

The tragedy of having people like Sonam in the industry is they get chance after chance despite having the type of talent that is best not to speak about. In essence what this does is it prevents genuinely talented people from rising up. If a star kids is genuinely talented like Kokona Sen Sharma I am ok with having them in the industry. It is non-talented actresses like her the waste space in the industry. Contrary to popular belief many of the films Sonam has done have had decent scripts. If their was a more talented actress to carry the movie they had potential to do better.

Tripti just needs one hit mainstream film to get her foot in. they are not really comparable at all as we don’t know what tripti has coming up. But even sonam, not sure what her future holds.

I’ll say tripti has the brighter future regardless as she is young and is a way better actress

I don't think Sonam does good roles. She does insignificant roles in some good films. Her roles in films are replaceable and nobody would care. Like her role in Sanju, Padman, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag are roles that are easily replaceable because her roles are highly insignificant and the films are not about her. Usually in films where she is given a significant role are either by her family or flop films with very few exceptions (Neerja). Even in Ranjhaana, Dhanush walked away with the accolades. The only way around this is if people stop watching their films like they did for Uday, Tusshar, Fardeen, Zayed, Esha, etc. That will leave them with limited options. And as for Sonam, she is only working in her family produced films mostly as she is not a viable star.

Calling her mediocre is an insult to mediocrity. She is abysmal.

Both are meh. Didn't find anything extraordinary in Tripti's performance in Bulbbul. The cinematography and Paoli/Rahul Bose's performance stood out. I felt she had only one expression of that slight smiling while using that feather wala hand fan. Pretty average performance. Also like zoinks said she has a forgettable face. I couldn't really place Tripti in her personal pictures much.
