Maybe with a makeuped face she can fit into some good roles looks wise. Acting wise she doesn't fit into any role.

Anurag Kashab seems to be impressed with her. Again he was the only person on twitter to comment on her brilliant acting skills. But Bombay Velvet has made everyone question his calibre. He can ruin careers along with make them.

I'm not one to knock women's looks sans makeup, that opens a whole can of worms, societal expectations on women to always look good, etc. So I find it difficult to indulge in that. Plus I'm sure almost all the actresses look different without makeup on, some far worse than others but I don't consider that a quality that matters ... cuz that's only for their bfs/hubbies to suffer. 😆

But Bollywood looks is a visual medium. Sonam herself said, "'If you are ugly, you're stereotyped to be a good actor in Bollywood."

I criticize men like Arjun Kapoor, Varun among others for being mediocre looking as well. So I don't think i discriminate in that front. And good looks were attributed as a factor to every number uno's success for the longest time. And many have said you should be a package in order to be successful. Of course I dont think there is anything wrong average looking people but people were hyping up Sonam's looks like they are at some type of historic level which I personally dont feel they are. As you said makeup can enhance anyone's looks so I appreciate natural beauties that don't need it as much more. I would say the same for the men.

I remember that... I think she was taking a dig at Vidya during that interview ... right around the time Dirty Picture was released, if I remember correctly. She really sets up a trap for herself every time she opens her mouth, doesn't she? Same with the karma stuff. 😆

For me she wasn't good anywhere. It says something now a days if you are insider in bollywood and you have to produce your own movies. It def cannot mean that you are overwhelmed with script offers. 🤣
