Actors Who Make You Emotional (Male)

So, actresses who are good at crying or emotional scenes has been discussed to death here, therefore let's try this with the male actors.

I know Ranbir is not really popular on the forum, but I was watching the unplugged version of Channa Mereya which occurs towards the end of the movie, and there's literally no dialogues other than the song and a close up of his face. ABSOLUTELY loved his expressions. There are just a few tears and a sheepish smile but it felt really poignant to me.

Which actor according to you excels in emotional scenes/songs?

For me - SRK and Ranbir.

P.S. : Not acting as a whole but ONLY emotional scenes.

AMIR KHAN.

He is so so good in emotional scenes.Not even a bit OTT.Taare Zameen Par and Talaash are best examples.

A lot of actors -

Dilip,Balraj Sahni,Amitabh,Sanjeev Kumar and many from 80s,90s,2000s.

SRK excels in everything emotional because he has incredibly expressive eyes. His confrontation scene with Amitabh Bachan in Mohabbatein and KKKG had Niagara Falls flooding from my eyes. He can shift from being crazy intense to emotionally vulnerable - especially the puppy eyes he was giving Amrish Puri at the end of DDLJ. I’m now convinced he ‘jao-Simran-jao’d’ her once he looked at Raj’s vulnerable eyes and thought shit, why you gotta look all cute and sad for? Fine, take ma money, take ma life, take ma soul, and ma daughter 😆

Ranbir Kapoor is another extremely expressive actor, especially in emotional scenes. I cannot stress enough how phenomenal he was in Barfi. I was a blabbering mess throughout the movie, shifting from manic laughter to rotten bouts of depression.

Hrithik Roshan is great in emotional scenes too. His angst and pain in Agneepath was SO raw, it took my breath away. Everything felt so real. I was so riled up at the movies, had to refrain myself from swinging my sword and chanting Agneepath Agneepath with him.

all 4 of my favorites are excellent actors....they nail the crying scene except for Bhansali's direction....SRK,Aamir, Hritik and Ranbir.

Ranbir Kapoor - Wake Up Sid, Barfi, Rockstar, YJHD, Tamasha, ADHM, Jagga Jasoos .. need I mention more? No one does heartbreak or an emotional scene the way Ranbir does.

Balraj Sahni - there's something so sincere about his acting. I was watching Anuradha a few days ago and the final scene when he cries and stops Leela Naidu's character from leaving moved me to tears. It was so so natural, heartfelt & sincere. Absolutely beautiful acting. There are so many more movies where he's had such moving performances.

Amitabh Bachchan - a good actor through & through. Whether it was Sharaabi way back, or Baghban... so many roles that he's played and performed well.

Guru Dutt - many, but most special would be Kaagaz Ke Phool. Those who've seen it will understand the magic of both the movie & the leads' acting.
