Rohit Chandel To Be REPLACED From 'Sairaab' Following Reports Of Sexual Harassment Of 16 Year Old?

The controversy surrounding television actor Rohit Chandel continues to make headlines after his arrest in connection with an alleged case involving a minor. He was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, along with relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, following allegations of stalking, harassment and assault. The matter is currently under investigation, and the allegations have not been proven in court.

Amid the controversy, it appears that Rohit's professional commitments may also be affected. According to a report by Telly Chakkar, the makers of Sairaab are planning to replace the actor in the show. The report further states that several television actors have already been approached to take over the role, although no final decision has been made yet.

The production team is reportedly looking to bring in a new actor at the earliest so that the show's shooting schedule is not disrupted. While discussions with potential replacements are said to be underway, the makers have not issued any official confirmation regarding the casting change.

Rohit was arrested after the family of a 16 year old girl filed a police complaint against him. As per reports, he allegedly continued contacting the minor through multiple phone numbers despite being asked to stop. He is also accused of confronting her near her residence and allegedly assaulting her following an argument. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and took the actor into custody. Some reports also state that the actor has agreed on the said allegations.

The allegations have triggered widespread discussion on social media, with many expressing shock over the incident. At the same time, some have pointed out that the legal process should be allowed to take its course before any conclusions are drawn.
