Ramayana team are eyeing for the movie to be the highest grossing indian movie of all time, we can see that already with namit saying the budget of both parts combined is 4000crs.
So they are going to promote the movie heavily in the china market, as they know dangal got that big push to be the highest growing movie due to china

The part in bold - yeah, that's an absolute lie, everyone and their grandpa can see that...they sold the all India distribution rights for 250 crores, give me a break from laughing
(saying it to the makers)
The underlined part - as I said, Dangal earning 1700 crores from China was an absolute bullshit, it is as believable as aliens making pyramids
Coming back to this Ramayan movie, even if we assume the movie may do significantly well in China, even then only negligible percentage of that will be added to the producer's pocket, so ultimately it is not worth it.
I think the producer mentioned once that he's making it for the western and global audience ...Maybe they will promote n India towards the release.
please, first make the movie hit at your homeland
then run elsewhere
The makers probably know very well that this movie is going to tank big time in India, that is why they are trying for outside India market
What a pr-circus around the movie since more than 2 years... as for me, it turns me off...
The costly DNEG-VFX work couldn't 'save' Brahmastra... one can't base an Indian movie solely on technic... what counts is the heart, the emotional core... not once I got to feel this in all the Ramayana-promotion (in Brahmastra, Ayan killed it with Alia's role/acting - for whatever reasons)
