Bro, Vishal Bhardwaj fan here, but disagree on Anurag's movies having black and white vs grey. Have you seen e.g. Gulaal, Ugly, Raman Raghav 2.0, Dev D? Who was black and who was white?
Dev D was well made, it was inspired by Devdas but with a happy ending. Ugly and Raman raghav were dark movies, but yes very well-acted and executed. haven't watched gulaal.
