Ek to galti karte h, upar se unke jaise hi aur morons aa jate h defend karne. Sab kuch govt se expect karo, khud ka dimag kabhi mat lagana. Oh sorry, I forgot that these BW woke people lack something called basic knowledge and common sense. Air rahi baat dimag ki, jo Cheez h nahi wo use kaise karenge.

Not only BW people, India is filled with such thankless people.

And our people are so thick that they would trust any random xyz but the authorities or govt. It's sad that the Airport authorities had to release the CCTV footage to prove what they are doing. And the person in ques is PhD scholar aur isko eye check n thermal scanning me farak nahi pta.

Ab in sabke liye CCTV footage nikale kya govt? Such sad state of affairs.

Kanika has become a scapegoat

I remember almost many in India were celebrating Holi mingling with others in the community

she got screened, did not have any symptoms so she went ahead thinking she was Ok. Yes, she should have isolated herself for 2 weeks before going out, that was a mistake of hers but she wasn't the only one as the world was still waking up to this and did not understand the seriousness of it.

Unfortunately for her, with so many politicians involved, she is in big-time trouble.

two wrong doesnt make one right.........

even one person less on road will reduce the spread to quite a sizeable amount...... while all who took it lightly are wrong.........doesnt mean Kanika is innocent.....in today's time when information is available so easily, its basic to do a search and take some responsibility......esp when the person IS not feeling well after coming back...

This argument doesn't make sense. Kanika was advised by airport authorities to self-quarantine. And she refused to do so putting others at risk. She was also symptomatic, so she could have at least used some common sense.

Even if she got infected, she has got access to treatments. Besides the senior bureaucrats, she put a lot of innocent indian citizens at risk, cab driver, waiters etc who are all infected and losing both their daily wages as well as having poor treatment options.

Celebrities are also indian citizens and not specially privileged to flout airport authorities doing the needful.

She is right here. When Kanika landed there were no orders of self isolating. It is too much to expect people isolating themselves when they were not made aware of risk and asked by authority. And it is also true that people were playing holi. Yes many big events got cancelled but many also happened.

The self isolation really started around 14-15th March. Even in UK it started around that time. Are we really going to blame Kanika for this? She should not be made a scapegoat at this point. She herself got infected and let’s pray for her.
There were less than 100 cases on 9th March when she landed and some 4-5 deaths. Indian governemnt did not tell people returning form UK to self isolate.

Hopefully more celebs will learn from Kanika's mistake. With so many politicians involved, they too will now understand the importance of self-quarantine. And the need to consider treatments being made available to common citizens too.

Even as a government, mere self-quarantine as a measure can only go so far. The political bureaucrats need to consider food options, testing options, making treatments more accessible, giving financial incentives to small businesses and daily wage earners or something along those lines.

More than Kanika, I would be more critical on indian government for not talking to health experts early, realizing the importance of travel restrictions, screening, making coronavirus testing kits available and quarantine guidelines.

They only did so, much much later after US and other countries instituted a travel ban. They didn't do anything even after the first 5 cases were detected in a few cities, citing 'oh no indian deaths have been reported yet' as though that makes it okay for them to sit still and do nothing. At the very least, they should have considered the impact on indian economy and the following recession.

I do blame Narendra Modi squarely for not doing the needful early on. Pandemic in India as a country itself is something we have no infrastructure in place, to handle.

I'll be honest I am shocked at the amount of hatred and fury raining on Kanika!

I will now not be surprised if I hear of a few lynchings of suspect Covid-19 patients in the near future!

That's ridiculous! More than worrying about 1 celebrity , we need to be more worried about the possibility of a wide-spread infection all over India.

And precisely what makes you believe that I'm NOT worried about the infection spreading all over India?

Your baseless allegations are unwanted and frankly stupid.
