Sonam Kapoor has issued her support to the Indian singer Kanika Kapoor who was tested positive for coronavirus..

She isn't wrong, technically. Most celebs were flying around and NOT isolating themselves afterwards around that time. Priyanka and Nick flew around everywhere and participated in multiple holi parties at that time. Anushka and Deepika were flying around to do photo shoots and definitely didn't quarantine. Katrina, Vicky and other celebs were all spraying dirty water on each other at the Ambani party.

It's just that they got lucky and didn't get the virus like Kanika did. Nick was even in contact with Rita Wilson so he could easily have been a healthy carrier and passed it on to others.

I don't buy the story that Kanika hid in bathrooms to avoid a screening. Sounds like total BS to cover up the government being inept. A lot of people weren't getting screened properly. I know of people personally who didn't go through any screening at the airport. Nobody was checking anything.

i don't see any decent responses from the so called "netizens"..

Sonam is right but as usual the detractors and their "you are so dumb" responses ..

Sonam came up with such a dumb response as usual.

Just goes on to show how these rich elites flout all rules and guidelines, endanger others and then give us mere mortals gyaan on isolation and responsibilities.

Cases were already rising in Europe and India. PMO announced to not participate in large gatherings/holi parties. Most of us “middle class” people followed it.

Sonam just keeps proving how dumb she is.

and you know what..you people may have a thousand resources but come to think of it..any less priviledged person who may have caught infection through the carelessness and does not have resources can actually die from it..you realize this irresponsible attitude can take someone's life..

I remember when I had mentioned that these celebs are pathetic, insensitive fools to celebrate holi when the world is fighting a pandemic and i was bashed for speaking up by some esteemed members here.......mainly gauhar ji....

I was told that that way, we wont be able to celebrate anything..... and that i should go off IF cause there is a pandemic.......

She is right here. When Kanika landed there were no orders of self isolating. It is too much to expect people isolating themselves when they were not made aware of risk and asked by authority. And it is also true that people were playing holi. Yes many big events got cancelled but many also happened.

The self isolation really started around 14-15th March. Even in UK it started around that time. Are we really going to blame Kanika for this? She should not be made a scapegoat at this point. She herself got infected and let’s pray for her.
There were less than 100 cases on 9th March when she landed and some 4-5 deaths. Indian governemnt did not tell people returning form UK to self isolate.
