Nothing is gonna change and nothing can change the what happened. As long as we don’t take these awards as credible even when our favs have won before, then it’s fine.

They're not really here for awarding true talent. 2019's most outstanding performances for me were Anjali Patil (Mere Pyaare Prime Minister and Rasika Duggal (Hamid) but I don't see ANYONE fighting for them to be on the ballot. Filmfare has been snubbing talent since it's inception.

Nargis has 2 nominations in her entire career and 1 win.

Madhubala has 1 nomination and 0 wins.

Dimple Kapadia won Best Actress aged 16 in a category that had Nutan (Saudagar) - in which she showcased the same talent if not less than Ananya Pandey in her first film.

It's always been a popularity contest. No idea why people are crying even louder this year. I think everyone wants to fight for something on the internet instead of real life politics.

In 2003 they gave Best Debut to Lara and Priyanka (for Andaaz) because it looked good for PR. Bhumika Chawla was also in the nominees list but she didn't win. However Bhumika was nominated for Best Actress - how does that work?

There are hundreds of discrepancies like that since the 1950s.

Coz i dont remember in recent times when has a film which was not unanimously loved swept all awards. Even in the year of Dangal , Kapoor & Sons ,Neerja ,Udta Punjab got awards.

Last year awards went to Stree, Andhadhun,Badhaai ho,Raazi,Tumbaad.

Uri,War deserved more technical awards, Chhichhore deserved the writing awards. Best director shud have gone to either Nitesh or Aditya Dhar. Gully boy just dint deserve to win so much.

Hrithik won the best actor. An to appease srk he was given some “most powerful man in Bollywood award” 🤦‍♂️

Yes Filmfare has always awarded most popular than most talented. Always. Used to get on my nerves all those years back too when SRK won left right and centre.

Then I just stopped taking these awards seriously. But it’s sad and disappointing.

Having said all that... I am relieved Shahid didn’t win for Kabir Singh how much ever great his performance was. And I actually like Shahid. Such a misogynistic movie doesn’t deserve any award.

Filmfare from a long time is biased and their awards doesn't belong to the real talent guys. I stopped watching these awards from 10 years to me its waste of time.. Hope atleast twitter rant and also the ratings should come down and bring the reality that now people atleast question the awards credibility openly..
