I know, many people are laughing at the paradox of insaniyat that Maya was talking about tonight with Rajiv. But we cannot judge this from a normal perspective here. We have to see from the perspective which is now normal to Mrityunjay and Maya. The toxicity, the darkness is what guides their actions. And considering the level of darkness that resides in both, then yes Maya still has 'insaniyat' and a 'conscience' which Mrityunjay never really had. On that note, I will begin this post and elaborate further.
MayRa's connect - Pain connects them. It is pain of loss, of the burden they bore on their back of their dead brothers whom they practically raised, pain which is like a free access pass to their hearts. Maya for some reason has never been 'acting' in front of Rudra. Even when she tries, the mask just slips. So she can carry on this charade of not feeling a thing for Rudra and trying to be different from Mrityunjay, but that train has passed. You have begun to feel differently for Rudra and that is something which will continuously push her to change her course of the game out of the darkness and push it more towards the light, till Karma comes and takes a bite off her past actions. Rajiv and Nandini are big-time MayRa shippers. They continuously try to show Maya her true feelings, which like Rudra, is hell-bent on not seeing.
Rajiv's voice of reason - Oh how I love this man! I love him from the beginning of his entry. I have always got only friendly and brotherly vibes from him. And how much ever Maya pushes him away, Rajiv is not here to budge. He did not know, but he had guessed that Rishi's death was facilitated by Maya, but did not anticipate that she had a direct hand in it. Maya tries to act all tough in front of him, and Rajiv is visibly shaken by the turn of events. For him, it was just teaching Mrityunjay a lesson, not killing anyone. And that is where he finally asks the question, "Maya, the nation wants to know" why kill the boy. So her stoic answer is that they killed my child, I will make all of them pay - Mrityunjay, Antara, Diya, Aamir, Jogi, everyone. I am sorry, but there is more to this 'child theory' and I am not willing to buy it. So he kind of knows that the next target will be Rudra. But now, fortunately, we have someone here who can show her the mirror, who will stick with her through thick and thin, and the way he said that "Main Maya ke liye mar bhi sakta hu" although very ominous, but what Nandini told Rajiv sounds encouraging that "Bhai ka kaam sirf behen ki raksha karna nahi, galat karne se rokna bhi hai." So let's see, do Rajiv, Nandini, Rudra and hasti masti Maya breathing inside her manage to bring Maya towards the light or Maya in her obsession lets the darkness consume her. We have to wait and watch.
Ananya's insecurity - So, what I saw today, was a severe butchering of a character that took off so well. I had hoped that Ananya would not turn into a Saanjh 2.0, but now it seems that Saanjh was better than Ananya. Saanjh always thought of Arjun's feelings first before her own, which always earned her disrespect and humiliation by Arjun, but what Ananya did today cannot even be compared. Like I said yesterday, Ananya cannot let go of her greed to marry Rudra. Hence the day Rudra proposed Ananya, she practically switched off the friendship button and turned on the possessive love-hungry woman switch on. Ananya as a friend, her priority should have been to see that Rudra is okay, why is it so important for her to think that Rudra can only be okay with her? Keeping aside growing feelings, as a person, we can have many friends - some are music buddies, some are coffee buddies, and some are listener buddies with whom we share our feelings. But Ananya thinks that it is her right that being Rudra's 'best friend' means that she should be entitled to everything that belongs to Rudra. This is not the friend, but the lover in her talking. The friend would have understood, lover is looking for answers. And most importantly, is this the time to discuss her rights on him? Dude, the guy lost his brother? You claim he was a brother-figure to you, then why did your rights take priority over your love for the kid? I am sorry, in this drama without a bitter fallout there is no way Maya and Rudra will be together, and going by the looks of it, Ananya is inadvertently helping Maya.
Darkness Within - So as I mentioned in the beginning, darkness is something that we will never understand or embrace. We are normal people who think normally. But Maya and Mrityunjay, they are dark. Darkness is a way of life for them. What may appear abnormal to us is perfectly normal for them - like killing people. It is like another day in their life. So in their context, if we weigh their conscience and insaniyat, then Maya fares better than Mrityunjay. Mrityunjay will destroy or kill anyone without batting an eyelid. Maya, on the other hand, was whimpering, crying, regretting. According to Maya, the only way to beat Mrityunjay at his own game is drowning into the same darkness that Mrityunjay has in himself, and once you understand his darkness, you can tackle him using his methods - remaining anonymous, attacking with different faces from the shadows - psychologically dark and murderous. But even then, execution of this darkness is really very shoddy. It needs to be more firm, crisp, clean and explosive in a subtle way. Additionally, Maya is still a bachcha in front of Mrityunjay when it comes to being dark. There are always chances for her plans to falter because her positive core conflicts with the darkness, which Mrityunjay does not have. The more she executes gruesome acts, her conscience will get dirtier, whereas Mrityunjay's conscience is clean, because he hasn't ever used it.
DiMrit connection - I think this was something which we were all expecting, and that is why Mrityunjay's mom cannot tolerate her. I mean the garbage bin is cleaner than the garbage this family has hidden in the corners of the room. How sick is this man? How can a woman put up as a keep in the house for 30 years? And what is Antara doing for so long? It isn't possible for Antara to be so blind, no woman can be. And is there a chance that Rishi is their son? The way she said, "Hamara Rishi" rang many bells in my mind. And for once Mrityunjay was more human with Diya than he has been till now. And I guess the more the Roy family is exposed, the more we are going to have to witness such sick instances. I think Maya is aware of this. Main to bolti hu, ghar me ghuso, sab ka kachcha chittha kholo Rudra ke saamne aur ek dusre ke saath hi cheer phaar karne chod do. Anyway, let's see how further the story progresses.
Precap - So both the Roys are out for the girl, and Ananya finds a drawing in Rishi's room and probably Rishi's phone (which Rajiv is supposed to nick for Maya) which lands her on the correct gf - Maya. But if you ask me, that was not out of her love for Rishi, it was out of love and insecurity for Rudra, and that is what will drive her away from Rudra. Her friendship always kept Rudra beside her, but her love will push him towards Maya. The drawing or sketch he made for Maya is not proof that she was his girlfriend. Did he write anything on that? How can Ananya act so stupid? She should use her brain before going and attacking Maya. Anyone will think that she is acting out of jealousy. I am feeling confident she is. And further going, she has become a potential Mrityunjay-ally.
Well, that is my thoughts for tonight. Let's hear yours
