I agree with you, it would be hard for me to see her distance herself for HS. Today's episode proved how much she respects and loves him. I think she's going to be hurting on the inside as well while she turns away from him. I hope the writers will focus on their dynamics more than just the love story. It's a beautiful bond, rarely seen on ITV. I fell in love with HS' character because of this more than anything else and I hope the writers do justice to show how he would also be hurt as a father when his Veer Balika leaves him.

anirudh is going to completely nail the scene as the distraught man in upcoming episodes and make us cry. Would really love to see him enacting these scenes however hard it might be to watch.

Another part of it is the fact that in recent times, Minnie has seen the men related to her Mother, who were supposed to respect and love her, do nothing but hurt her very badly: Ashok, Pinku, and even Dadu at times. To make things worse, she saw that her own father mistreated the woman he left her mother for. She doesn't trust men in general.

HS and Lala showed her a different side to men so she put them in a different slot altogether. Lala is like a brother to Babita so he's in the "safe zone" but she holds HS in such high regard as a dignified and honorable man that she cannot even picture him in anything but her mother's friend zone. The moment it goes into romantic feelings she gets freaked out because she feels that in some twisted way he betrayed her trust. Even though HS did no such thing Minnie will react this way because her image of her Hanuman Uncle has shattered. As I said in another post, this is also about Minnie learning to see HS in a different light, as a potential permanent member of her family.

I am really looking forward to her spats with HS. Their dynamics are the most interesting thing on this show, and I am curious to see what messages the writers will convey regarding depression and parenting teens.

Yes exactly. To accept someone in a role which for her is totally reserved for her father. If not him no one. Surely it is not easy to say that y she does not accept why she is so selfish. But have v tried thinking thru her perspective. Anyone in her place would react same way and she needs good time to sort this out.

Yes he is. He loves challenges and I'm sure he will make our hearts ache for HS. It will be a pleasure to watch even though it's sad.
