Not too long ago he was saying he didn't want Ranbir/Ranbir's careers coz unlike them he has never had a flop.

How times change! Good for him that he considers flops learning experiences now.

Did he really say the film deserves to fail? does he acknowledge the fact that it was his sugar Dadio's dream production? not his actually but his father's dream. Look he's giving no fcuks about it...and i hope kjo daddy's listening to it. Yeah I agree, that failure and success are part of life, and when you can beserk on a movie's success. Why can't you accept your failure gracefully. What's the need to insult your own product calling it 'deserve to fail'. You should have the balls to stand by it. You worked hard for it, didn't you? and you must have expect it to be a blockbuster before release? haven't you? now if the film fails, that's the audience's call. Yes the film's crap but you should learn to stand by your mistakes.

Now that he has established himself sugar dadio shall have to accept his statements like these two, he can no longer expect to be another puppet bhatt.😵

^^ He should have definitely used a different phrase than it deserved to fail. If he was disappointed in the movie itself he could have said something like the movie didn’t turn out the way they wanted it to. The words “it deserved” is very harsh and is kind of insulting to Abhishek Varman as the official maker of the film. Although I don’t think Varun’s intentions or words were aimed at Abhishek but rather it was a dig at Karan Johar. Karan basically abandoned this movie right after the teaser was released. Varun and the other actors were left alone to promote this movie and push it forward. Speculations about things being tense between these two have been going on for a while and this only adds more fuel to it.
