Hope you feel better soon, take all the time you need to heal! :)
Even an acquaintance was telling me about a previous incident in her life where her family was in talks with another for an arranged marriage setup. She had interacted with the guy and his family and they decided to get engaged. However, soon after this was decided the guyâs family decided to back out of it and the girl told me that ahe cried for weeks and weeks about it and was absolutely shattered at how they could they do it to her.
The situation here was elevated- they were in a relationship, were somewhat physically intimate, had gotten engaged and were due to marry in a month. Completely justified that it will take someone a while to get over that so expecting him to be all hunky-dory is not realistic.
I would like to reiterate that he is completely not justified for this revenge drama and Mishti is 1000% justified for breaking up with him. I have my own issues with Mishaan, but Mishti breaking up was the best decision she could have made.
Veer getting hurt is anyways meant to happen since Mishti doesn't love him. It is just the better of the choices that she choose. She would be blamed whatever she does. Veer would definitely be hurt, he would take time but the revenge drama is way too much. It is not doing any good to either him or Mishti or his family. He just has to move on for the benefit of everyone.

Yeah, I have cribbed about that one before. đ
And ditto, I enjoy reading your posts too. Very classy way of putting your point of view across without mocking anyone.

Exactly, Mishti breaking up was the best thing she could have done, after not entering into a commitment with him in the first place. Bashing him for the revenge drama is needed, mocking for not having moved on already is not.

That's what I feel about your posts actually. âşď¸ You interact with fans of all characters really well. đ It's refreshing to such posts instead of the breathing fire variety.

And I dont get whats so wrong about him feeling humiliated. Anyone, including me, would feel pretty humiliated and would hate the person if someone broke off with them a month before their wedding. Weddings involve extended families and friends as well so to make that commitment and then suddenly break it so close to the wedding will no doubt be pretty humiliating. Canât be compared to a normal breakup really.
Yet again (so people donât jump on me), breaking up was the best decision Mishti could have made at that point- never agreeing to marry him would have been better. But that does not mean that the incident was not humiliating for Veer.
Moving on from the humiliation will take time. But he got over his so called heartbreak really fast. Also related to timelines. We are watching a show here, not real life. This show is not going to run for years. So CVs need conclude all aspects of the story. Veers chapter is not the only one that needs to end. Itâs getting boring for some viewers to watch this track.

Right on point.

Yeah, so no one is forcing the writers to keep the character on-screen. They could have easily cut him off after the breakup- they chose to keep him on for the sake of bringing tension in the show and increase support for Mishaan.
I am not against people asking the writers to wrap up his storyline- they donât need to show that he is hurt or that he has healed. But people claiming that no one feels humiliated in such a situation in real life and that everyone in reality moves on is not correct.
And I agree, the show is pretty boring. Why extend the show when you donât have enough content đ

Thatâs what. Fact is Veer has not connected with majority of viewers due to various reasons. If they show a heartbreak track , majority will not care. Thatâs why writers are turning veer psycho / villain so that he brings some twist in Mishtiâs life and keeps viewers engaged somewhat. Not sure if they are succeeding.

Agreed. But all I am saying is, if he is stuck at the same point, it wouldn't help him. At the point he agreed to see jhanvi, I thought he would move on and be happy without thinking about Mishti, but then the moment he was rejected by her family, he is back to square one. If it's not his ego that's hurt, what do we call it?
