Amid rumours that KJo has tweaked the script to increase Vicky's role in Takht, a source reveals that nothing of sort has happened. In fact, the story has not been altered since the time it was drafted.

Last year, Karan Johar made the biggest announcement about his next directorial venture. The prolific director changed course and will now be helming an epic period drama set in the Mughal era. Titled Takht, the film will trace the journey of Shah Jahan's sons Dara Shikoh and Aurganzeb's tumultuous feud and sibling rivalry.

The film features a huge ensemble, including the likes of Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. The movie is expected to be mounted on a lavish budget and will go on floors around January next year. But before that happens, there are several speculations surrounding Takht.

Recently, there were murmurs that Karan has reduced the budget of Takht, following the fate of Kalank at the ticket windows. Also, now a portal reported that Karan has also altered his script and increased Vicky's role. The story claims that owing to Vicky's meteoric rise post Uri, KJo decided to give him equal screen time with Ranveer. But a source close to the development called this 'baseless' and 'untrue'. The informer tells us, "Nothing of that sort has happened. Karan's script has not changed even once since it was planned. No such alterations have been made to the narrative. Each actor has received the same script and has been informed about their roles. Everyone has an important part to play and contribute to the plot. There's no confusion and people shouldn't create trouble when there's none." Hopefully this will put all such rumours to rest now!

Vicky and KJO both are handled by Reshma to we cant blame their PR.. Its to pacify angry ranveer fan brigade

I was happy all those articles were tagging Ranveer. He can still walk out IMO and he should, if PC walked out of Bharat not fearing Salman's wrath why can't he? Waise bhi he has Adi Chopra and YRF behind him, kya ukhaad lega KJo iska.

Its not the script which got altered, it was karan who took a u-turn in front of Vicky..

Tbh this is why many ranveer fans are not looking forward to this film, the pr games are already starting, already there are articles saying vicky will have a meatier role etc, and that is obviously going to upset rs fans, rs fans like vicky, but this pr nonsense is going to compare them, plus vicky is a dharma kid

I never said he wants to walk out but that I wish he would. This film is going to be a mess and is not going to help him in anyway to consolidate his position.

Ha! Told you ! RK and KJo are having a 'war of blinds'🤣.. RK shafts Aloo and KJo's projects.. KJo shafts RK 's character and relationships.

Then they 'kiss and make up' and everything is fine for a while.

RK was dragging Takht in the previous blind/news to make RS upset with KJo (for seemingly..increasing Vicky's role), or to upset RS ( he dislikes all the stuff RS gets- each time RS wins something or has a success.. there's a blind putting him in a bad light) .. or to start fanwars.. Maybe to even make RS and Vicky argue.

And now here we have KJo's reply, quick to mention no script changes were made.🤣

I mean, the only thing left is for KJo to start calling RK names in public and for RK to start tell stuff they did together.. and disclose HOW MANY TIMES they've driven a rival out of projects... or closed a movie just cause they argiued with makers.. or created issues around a movie that was rivalling theirs ..or just cause it starred a rival of RK, or some star KJo hated..

And then there will be MORE blinds and fake news and hype. Ughh.. cannot stand KJo ( or RK) and this 'dissing and fake hype'

I was the biggest supporter of this film, but don't want RS to do this movie anymore. There is too much negativity surrounding Dharma/kjo movies these days. Don't want RS to get hate because he is associated with kjo and this film. I have forgotton Kjo's love for creating unnecessary dramas, planting rumours blinds to promote movies don't want RS to get embroiled in them either. 😫
