It is understandable why an actor would want to try their luck in Bollywood even if they get paid less for it. Most TV actors are limited they may have a huge female fan following but not even them would go and watch a cheesy and cringy Mills & Boon love story on big screen. If one has potential they would definitely find a place in the industry.

Most TV actors can't dance and fight. These are the 2 important factors in BW and you can't do well in BW without these 2 factors. Even star kids with lots of opportunities will fail in BW without having these 2 talents unless they are really good actor like Rajkummar Roa or Ayushmann Khurrana but TV actors are not that talented. Varun, Tiger, Shahid, Siddharth, HR and most established actors are good at either of these 2 factors. Most TV actors lack these 2 factors. Saw some fight scenes of KSG and it was so funny. Same with Gurmeet. They can't dance well either. So there is no way they can survive in BW by showing body and by doing little acting.

KSG is a manhoos but Bips is a bad actress, her career was doomed long time ago. So I don't think anyone did any harm on her career.

It’s true that movies give them a chance to get more famous and do more diverse roles, but all that is only if they actually succeed in Bollywood, I feel like doing important roles in good TV shows and staying famous as a top TV actor is better than doing a few flop B-grade films and being forgotten (sadly what happened to most TV actors who tried to do movies recently). Tbh only Sushant Rajput and Mouni Roy were exceptions to that rule.
