Saarthi completes 200 episodes :
Star Plus's afternoon soap Saarthi has completed 200 episodes. This serial aired at 2:30 pm is a unique blend of mythology and contemporary, conventional and the modern. The makers of this serial are elated by the success. "Even though Saarthi is a daily show, its USP lies in its treatment. The whole subject has the Mahabharata touch to it with Lord Krishna guiding the protagonists and due to this new flavour it becomes different and maintains a good balance," says Asit Modi, producer Neela Telefilms. The serial is written by Rajesh Joshi who had penned Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and conceived by Prakash Kapadia, a celebrated script writer of films like Devdas and Black.
At a bash to celebrate the achievement, Asit Modi played the perfect host. Rajesh Shringarpure was amongst the early entries. Nawab Shah and Neha Devi Singh walked in together. Rajiv Paul surprisingly came in without his wife Delnaz. But Karan Grover was the star of the evening who took to the floor with Adita Wahi. Neena Kulkarni, SM Zahir, Shashi Puri and Sadhna Singh made merry till the wee hours in the morning.
