Every day there are some or the other reports making the rounds about Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi getting into trouble. First, Kangana took over as the director of the film as the original helmer Krish got busy with his other South project. Then Sonu Sood exited the project which created quite a stir in the industry. Their public altercations became a talk of the town and people couldn't believe what's happening with the period drama.
Now, as per reports in Deccan Chronicle, the producer of Manikarnika reportedly got sacked in the middle of the project. Yes, reportedly Zee Studios business head, Sujay Kutty got sacked after going ahead with Manikarnika and the increasing budget. Talking about it, a source had stated to the portal, "It was originally a 10 day re-shoot. But now the film will have multiple changes. Ganesh Acharya is choreographing a song and dance routine with Kangana and Ankita Lokhande."
When we contacted Kangana and asked her about the report, she said, "Sujoy left a few months ago and Manikarnika is Zee's project. We are currently filming Manikarnika's introduction in Naigaon in a valley."
She further said, "Why would Zee sack CEO and keep the project? They can easily sell the project rather than sacking the employee. There is no logic to these nasty stories."
Kangana concluded by saying, "Like I said they can easily sell or release the film, they are a network themselves they can also have channels across the globe but they want to release a terrific project that's why we are still filming. Yes, their CEO got replaced but has nothing to do with a film I think it was something internal."
Well, we hope Manikarnika sees the release date without any further hiccups!
