The story of silent prayer and guilt

Sameer : God please keep Naina happy , give her a husband who will love her more than his life. Give her my share of happiness
Naina : Keep Sameer happy , bless him with a wife who will love him more than me and will stand by him through out his life. Give me all his pain and sorrows.

Look at their prayers. Does it sound like friends praying for each other?? They might have asked god to bless the other with a good life partner but the rest of the prayers were more like partners praying for each other. A man would always want to give his share of happiness to his lady and a lady would always want to take away the pain from her man's life. That is the essence of marital life. Sameer in his prayers asks god to bless Naina with a husband who will love her more than his life...isn't that what he had told Munna Pandit about how much he loves Naina.

Naina on the other hand asks for a girl who will love him more than her. But the point is will he be happy with any girl other her ? Does she realise this?? Yes , in fact they both know that they can never be happy with anyone else but AT the moment she is committed to someone else hence the thought of another person.

But what happens when Naina breaks engagement , will this thought be the same??

Today that book scene clearly depicts guilt in them. Naina feels guilty about breaking Sameer s heart and hence decide to let go her need and give it to him. But he on the other hand feels guilty of breaking Sunaina's heart and hence let go his need and give it to Sunaina.

I feel Sameer will unknowingly hurt Naina because of Sunaina. And Naina might not say anything because somewhere deep down in her heart she knows that she is not good enough for him. Social disparity and lack of good looks might come back as villain in their life.

In this vicious circle of guilt and prayers the one who might benefit will be Sunaina on the name of friendship. Wondering if Sameer will be able to get back his Naina and be that man in her life who will love her more than his life??!!

PS : Now that Naina's engagement is broken, I just hope that CVs don't show engagement track of Sameer and Su because of family and business needs. Honestly , I cant take this Sunaina anymore, but I know she is going to play dirty to destroy Samiana friendship and we have to tolerate her . Period.

You wrote my thoughts..I will really struggle if they show that Sameer will fail to see through Shoe early enough and become submissive..they have just redeemed him and that will only show him weak..I am still amazed that he understood what Sharad's family is like and handled his mom so well..but still struggling to understand his Naina and this Shoe..isn't it odd?
Can he not see the pain in Naina's eyes? How can he see love in Shoe's eyes..please in the name of being more sadist and to stretch further please CVS dont go that route..Shoe is a torture and needs to go..
You made Rohan, Deepika, Vishaka vanish when they all were better actors and better characters please take away this Shoe..

I can only say there guilt will over power there love for sometime and shoe will take that benifit

WRTW... I like the symbolism you pointed with the book. I agree Su is going to be a headache for a while... Samaina will have to tolerate her fake show of friendship, even if Sameer himself doesn't give her any direct attention or encouragement ...

I agree to what Aarti said...he doesnt seem to recognise her real face at present as she parted so easily which wasnt expected at all.

He will not see it initially for sure . Her character is also written well. She does have a shade of grey in her. Now when we look back , when she won the fresher's title she knew they had cheated and got it...if she was a truthful character , she would have told the truth to the principal but instead she happily took the title . At that time she didn't feel bad that Karthik hadn't got that title along with her. So she is opportunist...meeti churi is what I call her every action.

In future if her family and Sameer's family decide to get them married she will not tell them that Sameer likes her ONLY as friend. She will go ahead with it as if nothing has happened and in front of Sameer she will act as if nothing was in her control , she is doing what her family wants her to do as she was not given a choice.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Even I am not happy with this Su but then story has to have its high's and lows to make it nerve wrecking . This happy phase as we call it is more of a start to another start...they are arranging the characters at junctures to create another storm.

Me too ...no more third angle ...and some how I am not able to tolerate this character any more. Even Sharad I was ok with ...but this lady is too much.

I also hope that their prayer will turn to be a blessing for them and god will decided to unite them in holy matrimony

He thinks Su is ok, she is just being friendly... Only when she creates some trouble will he be able to understand... He may feel guilty at that time, but seeing her vengeful nature that guilt will reduce and his protectiveness for Naina will take over...</font>

His ability to rise above his hurt and his anger to forgive her and accept her offer of friendship has truly overwhelmed her... His gracious gesture and kind heartedness has killed all the resistance she had put up until now.</font>

I hope and pray what you said comes to true. The reason I felt Sameer is feeling bad and guilty of what he did is because , he was not able to meet Su' s eyes...he couldn't be there and take all the goodness she was trying to shower on him...he quickly walked away...not sure if its because he thought Naina was watching all this...

I will never doubt his affection for Naina...that's an undying love that he has for her and no other girl can take her place in his life . Even if , he is forced to accept someone else due to family pressure or because of business...he will be ONLY her husband never a lover or a friend. The expression on his face when she pulled her hand away from him clearly shows , this act of friendship is ONLY to make her happy. For him , she is always his lover girl , friend , guide, confidante and what not !!

Regarding Naina's guilt I agree with you . She is absolutely stunned by the goodness in him . Even when she realizes Su is playing tricks , I doubt she will voice it to Sameer thinking that Su is best to be Sameer's partner. That social disparity and looks will come in here.. and Sameer would not have understood this part...again its my thoughts ...I hope I am proved wrong.
