Chapter 16 : The Fight Betweeen The Heart and The Mind
"What is wrong with me ? " Om face palms himself remembering his actions .
"What was the need Omkara to go tell her that She looks cute in Pjs ? " He questions himself pointing his index finger poking his heart.
"That's nothing..She looked cute and you wanted to praise ..That's it ! ..It is not a crime! " He assures himself stroking his heart.
"Let me sleep ..That would help me take my mind off things" He drops himself on the bed and closes his eyes ..The Flashes of the mini moment that they shared comes across his mind ..She under him Staring at him innocently with her hazel orbs nervously..unknown to himself his lips hooks up in a smile ..His eyes shot open ..
"What the hell are you thinking Omkara ?..She is nothing ..Nothing!!" He talks to himself hurriedly gulping down a glass of water which was placed in the nightstand.

"I Was Serious When I Told I am Gonna try & steal you from him!", "You look cute in pj's with those Cinderella printed on it ". Omkara's word keeps ringing on Gauri's Mind Since the time She got up ..She had made up her mind that He is just trying to play with her ..Just some fun with her..But her heart says something else .She Knows very well A Person like Omkara will never like a girl who is not of his status .."He is just messing with you just to show Shivaay " This had been the 10th time Since She woke up she had been trying to assure herself .
"Gauri get me the sugar " Meena calls Gauri while working in the Kitchen.
Gauri who was lost in her thoughts absentmindedly gives her the salt ..
Meena without checking on the container ends up putting salt in Halwa She had been making ..
"Oh My God " Meena Shouts checking the container slapping her forehead .
"Gauri" Meena shouts glaring at her ..
Gauri thoughts halt and her stupor breaks hearing Meena's Shouts .."Maa What Happened ?" She asks her innocently seeing the way her Maa is glaring at her .
"What did I ask you to get me ?" Meena asks with her hands on her hips .

"Then What's this ?" Meena shows the Salt container making Gauri bites her tongue .
giving her a Sheepish smile "Sorry " She says quickly and trots from that place mentally scolding herself .
She bumps onto Shivaay making him fall flat on his butt .."Aah " Shivaay yelps in pain sending daggers at her ..Gauri gives him a lopsided grin and clicks her tongue.
"Are you blind?" Shivaay shouts standing up rubbing his butt..
"I am not ..It was you who had your eyes behind not me" Gauri yells at Shivaay tying her arms across her chest.
"Now I am wrong!" Shivaay snaps at her..Gauri gives him a nod as Shivaay gives her ARE-YOU-SERIOUS Look..
"Are you flustered with his words ?" Shivaay questions her absentmindedly Gauri ends up nodding .
"Don't be ! " He almost ends up yelling making her vaguely understand what she had done .."No no I am not " Gauri tells hurriedly more than Telling Shivaay She was trying to assure herself .."You are" Whispers her heart while her mind questions herself "Am I ?..Gauri sighs closing her eyes , She herself is not Sure what's happening to her.
"Anika is the only special person in her life who Omkara cares & likes " Shivaay drops the bomb making Gauri snap open her eyes .
"It has nothing to do with me and I am NOT affected by his WORDS" Gauri answers back ..Anika is the person He likes He is JUST messing around with me !! Gauri concludes her thoughts ..
"Sweetheart talking about Me " Omkara walks in hearing his name been said ..
Gauri widens her eyes hearing his sweet endearment.."Sweetheart!" Shivaay snaps at him.."Sweetheart " Om gives him a sickly smile and moves forward and putting his arms around Gauri's shoulder making Shivaay send smoke out of his ears..
"Take your hands off her ! " Shivaay tells fuming pointing her index finger signing him.
"Let her Tell !!" Om smirks grinning .."Gauri !" Shivaay eyes her to tell him..
"Aah !" Gauri stutters as her daze breaks She had been lost for the time being hearing him call her sweetheart...."Gauri" Shivaay says more shocked remembering how She had whacked him & twisted his hands when he had called her Darling & Tried to touch her hand .. Gauri looks at him clueless..Feeling someone soothing her shoulder She Looks to her right side to find a hand shocked She turns to her left to Find Omkara dangerously close to her face..inches apart Staring at her with a lovely grin .."Lovely ? , Seriously Gauri' her mind questions .."Yes it is " her heart leaves a dreamy sigh .."He is smirking not grinning " her mind snaps back .."He is giving a grin ..That too a lovely one " her heart leaves another sigh cupping it's cheeks .."have you got cheeks to cup ? " again her brain snaps at her heart..."Yes I've got !!" Her heart snaps back and goes back to it's work..i.e. Looking naah Staring at him without moving her eyes off .."His smile is so infectious !" Her heart leaves another sigh .."You stupid heart stop poking the great mind aka I am with your illogical reasoning he is smirking.." Again her minds snaps at her heart ..."You bloody brain stop confusing her he is grinning at her ..That too a lovely one "Again her heart leaves a dreamy sigh .."No no no !!" Shouts her brain.
"Stop it " Gauri yells closing her eyes ..Gauri peeks opens her eyes embarrassed hearing Omkara chuckle at her while Shivaay gives her a ARE-YOU-CRAZY Look..
"You are not affecting me Jatadari ..you are not ..your smile is the ugliest. yes it is ugly !!" Gauri mutters hurriedly and runs away from that place whereas Om and Shivaay stood shocked hearing her blabbering.. Shivaay sighs and chuckles turning to Omkara as Her words dropped in his mind ..
"You heard her ..Didn't you ? " Shivaay laughs standing in front of him ..
"Stay away from her !!" Shivaay warns Omkara ..
Om smirks looking at him "She is crazy !! " Om Shakes his head smiling and leaves the place ..Shivaay looks at the direction of Both went flabbergasted,
Gauri throws cold water on her face trying to clear her mind "he is not affecting me ..Never " She tells herself hurriedly .."HE IS NOT !" She ensures herself touching her reflection in the mirror .. "I need to talk to him !" She leaves the place .

Om dives himself in the pool all the while smile never leaving his face remembering Gauri's expressive face which is Like a F1 track which runs with multiple thoughts at times . Gauri peeks though to check whether he is swimming naked ..She leaves a sigh seeing him on his suits . "Jattadari " She yells standing in front of him with her hands on her hands ."Why Darling?" he asks flirting back making her Gape at him .."Stop that !" She yells throwing her hands up in the air pissed more than pissed Flustered trying to hide her blush .."Why are you blushing darling?" He flirts back playing with the water .. "I am Not ! " She tells him trying to maintain Trying !! but she ends up blushing more . He chuckles looking at her ..
"Stop blushing you idiot " her minds snaps at Gauri while her heart which was pumping blood halts it's work and interjects it's thoughts "She will blush ..Stop controlling her, you stupid mind " her heart yells at her pissed.."She Will Not..I am her brain..The Genius Brain She has to Follow my order !!"..."I am The Great Heart I giving better advices !!" her heart answers back and continues it's side work of poking her to continue with her blush "You heart go plump blood without putting ideas " her brain yells pissed seeing the way that stupid heart is insulting the brain !! ..
Gauri closes her eyes trying to fight the urge of strangling her heart and her brain which is all the more confusing her. "What is your mind telling that your expressions are changing in milliseconds" Om asks curiously seeing the way her face is changing from time to time.
Gauri takes a deep breath And Decides to ask him straightaway "Let's swim together !" .."What?" Om asks her shocked and surprised about her declaration. .."What's wrong in that you Like me don't you ?" ..."I am Naked!! " Om answers her back .
"Then Let's swim together naked!! " She tells him as if it is not a big deal ..He gapes his eyes widening in horrified .."Are you crazy ? He snaps at her . "You Like me , you are planning to steal me so what's the big deal " She shrugs her shoulders ..He looks at her shocked while Gauri continues "Can you say that you like me in Front of Anika ? ...You Like Anika ..But Anika likes Shivaay..Already you are in a complicated love triangle Why are you trying to pull me in the mix and trying to make a Love quadrilateral " Gauri asks him getting straight into the point .." Because Complicated Relationships are my hobby " Om answers back Looking intently at her.
"I am Naked Get Lost !!" He snaps at her still not reeling from the shock ..Gauri chuckles tying her hands across her chest she looks at him ..He strides out of the pool wondering why she is not running away and moves forward . Getting Serious She tells him once he is out of the pool " Omkara think twice before you do something ..you might end up hurting someone who are close to you or in second thoughts you would be the person to get hurt in the end " and leaves the place as He keeps looking at her retreating figure trying to process her words .
