nobody cares about arresting the criminals and giving them strict punishment. I guess nobody even cares about getting justice. If the courts did their job and gave strict punishment to the criminals then such incidents would not happen in future. these things are taken too lightly.

Unfortunately those who could bring a change are more interested to fill their own pockets...

And then I wonder why Kangana being part of the government talks about the women and independence of marriage when the culprits are males and a system made (and supported) by males...and women (right?)

Exactly, dowry it the greed of the respective males... and their families (among them women!).

kangna wants the women to save themselves who are dead. I find it very absurd to say "save yourself" when the victims are dead.

she should have directly said that don't burden the police and courts with your problems, instead solve them yourselves.

Basically, I understood that she wants women not to see marriage as a must-be-done but focus on leading a more self-paced life... which is a nice idea looking at what she does herself... but it doesn't help in the matter-at-hand, I think.

She's actually right! No one will be there to save us!! We need to be careful with every step. That's how this society /world has turned out.

Trusting someone is close to handing over a gun and turning your back, hoping they don't shoot.

Honestly, lucky are those who have a support system of any kind. You're privileged!

The financial stability had been the purpose of marriage - originally...it was invented as a practical institution for survival, economics, and power. Historically, it had little to do with romantic love. Instead, it served as a mechanism to establish family alliances, secure property and inheritances, and ensure biological paternity...

So who did invent marriage? Actually, it evolved naturally across different ancient cultures thousands of years ago as nomadic tribes settled into agricultural societies. and for the first few thousand years of its existence, marriage was a secular, legal contract between families, not a religious ceremony.

whatever meds Kangana is on right now, please stay on it. She is talking completely sane things.

In india, biggest hurdle right now is we educate our girls but dont let them have a career or independence. Girls need to educate themselves and then make a career so that they are not dependent on anyone, not even parents.

I think Twisha Sharma was financially independent women but even when she complained to her parents abt what was happening at her in laws house they asked to adjust. Isn’t that what should change once in laws realise no one is coming to question them they would get more confident to attack their daughter in law. I saw the fathers interview seems like he was ready to bent in front of her husband and in laws to save daughters marriage. Instead of that he should have held his head high and saved his daughter. No point talking abt this now. A life is lost and this has been happening for years. Women continue to suffer whether she’s educated or uneducated. Unless families understand their fake respect in front of society is more important than their daughter’s lives nothing will change.
