I don't think, success of the movie has any connection with the change of their mindset.

While making Highway, Imtiaz Ali spoke lowly of Socha Na Tha and Jab We Met. He said, he finds them superficial now. It did not matter to him, JWM was commercially successful film.

I wonder what is that these artists are searching. We audience are happy, if they make those lowly products again.
Yes, iktaara song at the end of WUS is unforgettable.

It's not natural it's disrespectful to them and the fans of the movies.
An artist might look back at one of his creation and not think it's the best in term of technicity but most often than not, they should be able to feel the hunger and creativity they were able to display.
A rapper said -and rightly so- that each of his album refleted who he was at the moment he wrote them and this even when he ended contradicting himself it was because he was maturing and evolving as a person and as an artist.

I feel it's the same thing for all artists. And the problem in boll wood is that they are more moviemaker than artists so when they do a movie they sometime look more for the economic potential it might bring up than at the artistic aspect and how they can express themselves through it.
