In Rai movies, both characters suffer with guilt, either die or is alone at the end as a consequence of their obsession in love, in Vanga movies the leads like Kabir and Ranvijay got happy endings with money, how's that even debatable here.

Glorification is when Kundan zoya or Shankar Mukti would have happy lives and end up having a happy future, none happened there, and both Kundan and Shankar had guilt tripped phases and suffered in guilt and shame whereas Vanga can never imagine his men feeling ashamed of their behavior.

Sorry, my opinion is quite different from yours, I guess. To me, packaging obsession or stalking as love is scary—just like normalizing abuse, which happens in Vanga’s movies.

There are many murderers who suffer guilt for killing people. They sometimes realize their mistake immediately after what they have done. Does that absolve them of the crime? Similarly, invasion of privacy cannot be justified as love. Even love has its boundaries.

Feeling guilty does not make someone right, nor does it justify their actions.

I mentioned that there's no glorification in the movies, exemplified by the redemption arc of Kundan or Shankar, and it was about how you compared the characters with Vanga's characters where the male leads are highly glorified without any sort of remorse.

Crimes or criminals being forgiven based on guilt and redemption is a different debate, if crimes are concerned again both Vanga characters Kabir and Ranvijay have been convicted criminals in the movies still had happy endings, while Kundan-Zoya, Shankar-Mukti despite their toxic relationships weren't criminals.

My response was solely based on your comparison of Vanga vs Rai's male characters, which I believe is no way comparable. Also let's not forget, Rai has given best arcs to his female leads too, be it Zoya, Rinku, Katrina in Zero and Mukti, while Vanga's female leads are either abuse or sex objects of his Sad heroes, be it Preity, Geetanjali or tripti's character in Animal.

Being toxic is love and suffering from karma is completely different than being a criminal and soft abuser with money power and still being sympathized with.
