Mahesh Bhatt on meeting Ranbir at Alia's place: I'd let the paparazzi

When filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt visited his
daughter, Alia Bhatt a few days back, it sent
a tizzy around. Not because of Bhatts being
there, but because the father-daughter
were joined by actor Ranbir Kapoor.
Now two days after his meeting with the
rumoured couple, dad Bhatt has spoken
about what actually happened at Alia's place
the other day. Talking to a leading daily, the
filmmaker opened up that he was surprised
to see this new paparazzi culture. However,
he maintained that he is fond of Ranbir and
would let his daughter decide about her
future. He said, "When I saw those pics, I
was like, Oh, the paparazzi age is here and
you have people from the outside using
their premise to capture the image, because
that's what the nation is thrusting for.' So,
not saying more, I'd let the paparazzi guess
if papa is raazi.

He then added that they would let both Alia
and Ranbir decide whether or not they
would like to talk to the world about their
relationship. He said, "It's very obvious that
(Ranbir-Alia) are making no bones about
talking to people about them being
intimate. And I don't belong to that
category of parents who'd advise their
children about their personal choices. Alia is
an adult and it's a matter that she has to
resolve. It's their life, their space. I respect
and admire them for choosing to talk to the
world when, and if, they want to do.
He also praised Ranbir's performance in his
last release, Sanju and said, "He astounded
me in Sanju. After Amitabh Bachchan's
Deewar (1975), this is the first time I've
seen an actor take charge of a character,
which is iconic like Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir is
barely 34 or 35 and though he comes from
the great lineage of the Kapoor family, he
has a unique charm and talent that's his
own. He is an original, just like Alia is an
original.
Well, seems like papa is indeed raazi!

Its funny how Mahesh was always Anti-Chopra's/Kapoor's/Johar's...suddenly because they've hijacked his daughters career he likes them and is showering praise lol

so mahesh bhatt is saying that they r in a relationship, nothing about this is private lol, ranbir alia and even now thier family r being so open about it all
