Bobby Deol on losing Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met: I don't have any regrets

Bobby Deol revealed in an interview earlier
that he was supposed to do Shahid
Kapoor's role in Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met
(2007). The film also stars Kareena Kapoor
Khan in the lead role.
The Gupt actor had said that he was in talks
with Imtiaz even for Alia Bhatt and Randeep
Hooda starrer Highway (2014). But, things
never worked out.
In an interview with Hindustan Times,
Bobby Deol said that he holds no grudges
against Imtiaz Ali. He has no regrets about
losing Jab We Met.
The actor said, "Arre, (Imtiaz) is a buddy; I
just bumped into him. I don't have any
regrets, or anguish. Just that when I gave
my interview (last year), I spoke about what
had happened in my life. People had started
thinking that I was choosing the wrong
things, even though I was on the right
track."
He added, "I was trying to do the right
things just that the people I was trying to
do them with, let me down. That happens
with everybody. I wish Imtiaz the best. He's
a sweetheart. Even he was starting out in
his career, and (he, too) had to make
choices."
Today, Bobby Deol starrer Race 3, also
starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor,
Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib
Saleem has hit the theatre screens.
The actor will also be a part of Akshay
Kumar starrer comedy film Housefull 4
which is being directed by Sajid Khan.
Bobby will also have a special role in Salman
Khan starrer Bharat. Directed by Ali Abbas
Zafar, the film also stars Priyanka Chopra and
Disha Patani.

Kareena walked away with all the applause... I thought Shahid was wonderful in it but it didn't really help him much.. Did it?

I don't believe he doesn't regret it... but hey...it made sense with Kareena and Shahid..so it was maybe destiny.

Thank you for saying No... Shahid is awesome in it... have watched the movie so many times and honestly, cannot imagine anyone else doing that role...

LOL sure! Am glad though that Shahid did the movie! He was fabb in it and I cant imagine anyone else other than him doing Aditya!
