Author's note-hi everyone, finally I am here with epilogue of this story, enjoy.
EPILOGUE
Raman was sitting in his cabin working on a presentation when his phone rang. He picked it seeing his mother's number and said -haan maa bolo.
Toshiji -puttar tu ghar aa sakta hai kya, abhi??
Raman -kya hua maa??
Toshiji -main phone par nahi bata sakti, tu bas aa jaa.
Raman -ok maa, I am coming. But please Aap bolo toh, what happened, everything is fine naa??
Toshiji -kaha naa puttar, ghar aa jaa. Sambhal kar aana.
Raman -ji maa, he said being confused. He closed his laptop and went out informing his secretary to cancel his meetings. He sat in his car and drove towards his society.
After an hour, he reached his house, only to see the house filled with many ladies, toshiji, amma, few ladies from the society and finally a lady doctor. All were sitting around ishita and talking to her while she was on bed.
Raman went inside and said -what is happening here, ishita aise bed par kyun hai. She is fine naa, he said asking next to her.
Raman -what happened babu, is everything fine?? He asked cupping her face while she just kept her head on his chest blushing.
Raman didn't get anything and look at his mother.
Raman -koi mujhe kuch bataiyega, ki kya ho raha hai??
Amma -ho nahi raha, hone wala hai. Tumhare babu ko babu hone wala hai, ur wife is pregnant and u r going to be a father. She said happily making Raman pleasantly shocked.
Raman -kya??
Toshiji -haan puttar, aaj ishita puttar kaam karte karte behosh ho gayi, toh maine doctor ko bulaya and she confirmed that ishita puttar is six week pregnant. Mubarak ho puttar, tu papa banne wala hai aur main dadi. She said happily while Raman was just too numb to react.
Doc -i think we should leave them alone for sometime, Mrs bhalla, aaiye main aapko ishita ki medicine aur diet ke baare mein pata deti hoon. She said to which toshiji nodded and all went out of the room leaving Ishra alone.
All went out when Raman broke the hug and make her look at him.
Raman -mumma, yeh kab ho gaya, I don't think I worked so hard on this project ki mujhe itni jaldi itna bada profit mil gaya, he said smiling while she just blushed hard hiding her face in her palm.
Raman smiled and wrapped her in his arms. He kissed her hair and said -jaan, u gave me the biggest happiness of my life and I so love u for this. I love u, I love u so much baby. He said hugging her tight while she was just smiling continuously seeing him so happy.
After a while he broke the hug and said -aaj se no kaam only aaraam.u r not going to do any work. Samjhi tum, saara kaam neelu aur maa mil kar karengi, zarurat hogi toh aur help rakh lenge but u will not stress urself. He was go on telling her when she closed his mouth and motioned, let me say something.
Raman -sorry sorry, bolo what u want u say, he said kissing her cheek again and again.
Ishita smiled and asked in motion -u r happy naa??
Raman -buddhu, yeh bhi koi puchne ki baat hai, of course I am happy, in fact happiest. We r going to have a baby, hamara bachcha aane wala hai. We r going to be parent, isse jyada khushi ki baat aur kya ho sakti hai. Tum khush nahi ho??
Ishita motioned -i am happy but bit scared too.
Raman -scared, for what baby, for this pregnancy phase. Don't worry, I will be with u and will take care of u like always.
Ishita nodded and motioned -what if the baby is like me??
Raman -so what, I want our baby like u only. Tumhare jaisi khoobsurat aankhen, gulabi honth ,he was saying when she motioned -i mean, what if he or she will be dumb like me.
Raman smiled at her question and said -so what, that will be our child. We will still love him or her. Just because our baby has some disability, we can't stop loving him. Matarani hume joh bhi degi we will take it happily and will love u always. Waise bhi mujhe iss baat se koi fark nahi padhta, all I know that I love u alot and will love our baby alot too. He said making ishita smiled.
She got up a little and motioned -i just wish, that if matarani make our baby dumb like me, then she should bless him or her with a partner like u, who will love him or her beyond their disability. Who will make him or her feel that he or she is just normal like everyone other. Like u make me feel always. She said while her eyes got teary.
Raman wiped her tears and said -i told u naa, I hate ur tears and never want to see them.so u better stop crying and start smiling, just like my baby wife, joh meri baby bhi hai aur wife bhi. He said and she smiled.
Raman -now that's like my girl, he said and kissed her temple again.
Both were lost in each other when Toshiji came and said -raman puttar, doctor is calling u.
Raman -ji maa, he said and then said looking at ishita -abhi aaya jaan.saying so he went out and saw amma sitting with doctor with a serious face.
Raman -what happened amma, everything is fine naa. Koi complication toh nahi hai.
Doc -no Mr bhalla, I am just suggesting u to keep a caretaker for ur wife.
Raman -caretaker, why??? We all r here for her.
Doc -that I understand mr bhalla, but u r not understanding the situation. Ur wife is pregnant and she can't talk. So she want a person always next to her, so that she could be taken care if she needs something. I understand ki aap log family ho and can take care of her, but koi har samay toh nahi reh sakta. She is pregnant, usse kabhi bhi pain ho sakta hai, yaa koi aur zarurat. So I am suggesting u to keep a nurse for her.
Raman -thanks doc, but main uske liye nurse rakh kar usse yeh ehsaas nahi dila sakta that she is not normal but has a disability. Meri biwi bol nahi sakti toh kya, I can hear her unspoken words too. I can feel her pain, phir bhale hi main usse dur rahun yaa uske paas.i can do anything for her and will do everything for her. Usse kisi nurse ki zarurat nahi when she have me. But again thanks for ur concern.
Doc -as u say, but I still think u should keep a caretaker for her. If u need any medically trained nurse, then just give me a call.
Raman -thank u, he said and the doctor went.
Raman -nobody will talk about this to ishita, we all will take care of her and yes make sure ki koi uske paas hamesha rahe. Main toh jab tak rahunga, I will take care of her but Aap sab ko bhi uska jyada khayal rakhna hoga. He said to their parents to which all nodded.
Soon time started passing, everyone was busy in taking care of ishita and she was also enjoying everyone pampering. Though ishita want to be normal but the fear of giving birth to a dumb baby was still in her.
Slowly seven months passed, now ishita start having difficulty in doing her day today work. Doc again suggested raman to keep a nurse for ishita but he denied and stop going to his office. He start working from home only giving all his time to ishita. He help her in everything, sometime she felt bad for being a burden on him due to her disability but he always cajole her like his baby.
One night ishita got up feeling thirsty. She checked the jug and found it empty. She thought to wake up raman but he was in deep sleep,so she thought to go herself. She got up to go but felt a tug on her hand. She turned and saw a duppata was tied on her hand along with his. Before she can understand anything he got up and said -i knew someday u will do such stunt, that's why I always tie this dupatta in our hand in night and open it in morning before u wake up. I told u naa not to go anywhere alone. Where u were going??
Ishita showed him the empty jug.
Raman -u wait, I am bringing water. Saying so he went and bring water in sometime. She had it and finally both slept cuddled in each other.
Soon the day came, ishita was in labour while all were waiting outside.
After sometime the nurse came out and said -mr bhalla, can u please come, ur wife wants u for moral support. Poor lady, can't even scream in pain.
Raman nodded and went with her. He hold ishita's hand firmly while telling her to just relax, everything will go fine.
After long, she delivered a baby and hugged Raman tight in sheer pain. He hugged her back while the doctor said -congrats,its a baby girl.
Ishra look at the baby with moist eyes when ishita signalled Raman to ask.
Raman -she is fine naa??
Doc -yes, she is absolutely healthy. She can cry, hear it. She said and made the baby cry.
Ishita heard the cry of their baby and cried along. Raman just hugged her tight and kissed her temple.
After an hour, ishita was in her room while everyone was busy in loving and playing with the baby.
Ishra looked at each other and Raman said -i told u naa, matarani hume kabhi niraash nahi karengi, u wanted a baby who can talk. So here it is, our princess. He said taking the little girl in his arms.
Ishita kisses the baby and motioned -congratulations papa.
Raman -congratulations to u too, mumma.
Ishita -what we will name her??
Raman -main bolun, Ruhi, Ruhi Raman kumar bhalla. Achcha hai naa.
Ishita -bahut, Ruhi, our rooh. She said and hugged the baby tight in her embrace while Raman took his little family in his embrace feeling happy and contented.
