I want to vent about something that has been bugging me for a few days.

I really liked the character of Neela and the way she was portrayed by Sayantani. But the amount of praise MB was giving her at the cost of Zain and Aditi made me feel a bit odd.

I watched Naamkaran from the first episode and still remember the first episode in which Neela appeared - it was one where her father was in the hospital. Does anyone else remember that? She was sooo bad in those initial episodes! Literally! Her acting looked horrible especially in comparison to the subtle performance of Barkha. I actually took a break for a couple of weeks from Naamkaran because I could not stand Sayantani.

My point is that I know we all ended up loving Neela but it is truly Zain and Aditi that created this fan following. But I am not sure SP and MB realise that!

I agree...I never watched pre-leap nk regularly but I have watched it in bits n peaces. That hospital scene was so ott. Very over-dramatic. N Sayantani really couldn't pull off hat immature n drama-queen character. She was only good in some strong n intense scenes. I started Neela as a character n Sayantani as an actor only when her interactions with Avni were started. I never liked her as Ashish's fiance, I only liked her as Avni's mother.

I have watched this story in bits from ore leap . I loved her only when she was with Avni and post leap she was brilliant with both Avni and Neil . I don't understand why MB has to bring leap if he so obsessed with Neela . It was really sick thay he didn't mention Aditi and Zain . Neela never brought this fame to the show . Khair chodo

I loved her character Initially too. But her entry in the show was not pulled that good.

The fact remains that MB saw a part of his own life in Neela 's character.He was himself brought up by his stepmom for whom he has immense love, respect and admiration.Added to dt is d fact dt he himself convinced Sayantani to play d role.So he had an inclination towards d character and d actress who played it wid all sincerity...dt is Sayantani.

MB should have ended his show with Neela adopting choti Avni and Dayawanti behind bars or dead.
